The posting

  • Expand upon Armadillo’s existing global footprint and help build a lasting global presence for a highly respected, Australian founded and run company that is proudly B Corp certified.
  • Lead, direct and oversee growth and performance across the APAC region.
  • Join a company that proudly puts people, purpose and sustainability at the centre of every decision. Named as one of the AFR's best places to work in Australia, you will step into a healthy, thriving environment and open a new chapter for the history of our business.
  • Global Leadership opportunity – your chance to influence, develop, support and empower a group of passionate team members.

About Us

Armadillo is a truly sustainable company - for the good of the world we live in and all who journey with us. Our rugs lie lightly on this earth.

Founded in 2009 we are an Australian-born company, with showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Dallas.

Our rugs are handcrafted by artisans in India and Nepal using natural materials and energy-efficient processes, designed to counteract today's throwaway culture and stand the test of time. As a certified B Corp, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of sustainability, social responsibility and transparency.

About the Opportunity

This newly created role will lead and oversee Armadillo’s growth and performance across the APAC region, with direct responsibility for Sales, Sales Support, and indirectly other relevant support teams. With a strong focus on driving commercial performance, operational excellence, and cultural alignment, this position will play a critical role as the business continues to grow and evolve.

The Regional Director, APAC will lead Armadillo’s expansion across both new and existing markets in the region while optimising processes and technology to streamline ways of working and improve organisational effectiveness.

Working closely with the Global CEO, the Regional Director will help shape and deliver key strategic objectives that enable sustainable growth and support the company’s broader goals. Just as importantly, this leader will translate strategy into action—motivating and empowering teams through clear communication, coaching, and inspirational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead market expansion initiatives, assessing risks, opportunities, and sales/operational requirements, in collaboration with our Global Head of Growth and Emerging Markets (International)
  • Drive the financial performance of the APAC region, ensuring sales targets, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, collaborating with the Director of Global Operations and Global Head of Finance/AU Finance to ensure financial objectives align with global strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with the Global CEO to define and execute the regional strategic plan, aligned with Armadillo’s Global 5 Year Plan (and F27 Plans)
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities, including market expansion, partnerships, and new revenue streams, and support Global E-Commerce ambitions.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, performance and purpose-driven culture.
  • Ensure cross departmental process governance, ensuring sales team members adhere to finance reporting and marketing communication requirements and standards, especially for outreach initiatives and promotions.
  • Optimise business models, processes, and structures to enhance efficiency and performance, working back with global teams and requirements.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in support of the businesses digital transformation agenda as it relates to sales, especially E-Commerce.
  • Ensure sales teams are empowered to achieve targets through proactive leadership, coaching and mentorship, performance management, relevant technology tools, and strategic support.

Applicants that are successful in progressing in the recruitment process will be provided with a thorough job description that encompasses a more detailed breakdown of key deliverables and responsibilities.

About You

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
