The Opportunity

Scale Virtually is hiring a relationship builder to grow referral partnerships, turn qualified opportunities into clients, and lead a developing team of closers and partner support staff.

Partnerships come first. You will strengthen existing relationships and recruit businesses and individuals who refer suitable clients to Scale Virtually. You will also personally close qualified referrals and leads from other company channels, while coaching and managing the team assigned to you.

Our sales priorities are VA staffing, AI services, and then other approved products and verticals. We provide training on our offers and sales process, including AI builds and products, with specialist support for technical assessment, scoping, and delivery questions.

What You Will Own

1. Partner Relationships and Referral Growth

  • Manage and strengthen existing partner relationships, keeping partners informed, engaged, and clear on how to refer to suitable prospects.
  • Find, approach, recruit, and onboard new referral partners whose audiences and relationships fit our approved offers.
  • Educate partners on the value of our offers, the clients they suit, the referral process, and how partners earn compensation under approved program terms.
  • Track partner activity, qualified referrals, pipeline, and resulting sales in the CRM. Work with internal support and Finance to resolve attribution and payout questions.
  • Build practical partner plans, coordinate approved materials, and follow through on agreed activities, including partner meetings, presentations, webinars, and in-person events.

2. Consultative Sales and Supported Closing

  • Personally manage qualified partner referrals and other company leads from discovery through proposal, follow-up, and closing, using the sales training and support provided.
  • Use a consultative approach: understand client needs, explain the value of VA staffing and approved AI services, answer questions, and involve technical or delivery specialists when needed.
  • Keep opportunities current in the CRM, communicate realistic forecasts, and hand closed clients to the appropriate delivery team with accurate scope and expectations.
  • Balance personal closing and relationship development so a full call calendar does not displace the role’s primary responsibility.

3. Practical Team Leadership

  • Directly manage assigned closers and incoming partner support staff. Set clear expectations, coach calls and follow-up, review pipeline, and address performance gaps.
  • Help recruit, assess, and onboard team members as approved roles are added during the rebuild.
  • Work with appointment setters through a dotted-line relationship on qualification, appointment quality, follow-up, and handoffs, while coordinating with their primary manager.
  • Improve the team’s day-to-day sales processes and reporting without taking on ownership of the entire company’s sales, marketing, or technical infrastructure.

Team size will develop with the business. The COO will review priorities, personal closing expectations, and support as management responsibilities grow.

4. In-Person Events and Conferences

  • Attend approved conferences, masterminds, trade shows, partner gatherings, and other in-person business events to represent Scale Virtually.
  • Meet prospective partners and clients, strengthen existing partner relationships, and identify qualified referral and sales opportunities.
  • Prepare event outreach and meeting plans, coordinate with the CEO and internal support team, and deliver approved presentations or product introductions when assigned.
  • Capture contacts and next steps in the CRM, follow up promptly, and report resulting partner opportunities, qualified pipeline, and sales.

How the Role Works

  • The COO is your direct manager for priorities, workload, performance, and coordination across departments. The CEO remains actively involved in strategy, key partners, and important opportunities.
  • You have room to manage assigned relationships, deals, and team execution within approved budgets and company standards. Pricing exceptions, partner financial terms, new spending, and commitments involving other departments require the appropriate approval.
  • AI specialists support technical scoping and delivery readiness. You are not expected to build AI solutions or serve as their technical delivery owner.
  • Other products and verticals may be introduced with appropriate training, materials, delivery support, and workload planning. Selling a service does not automatically make you responsible for delivering it.

Occasional Client Sales Coaching Support

From time to time, provide limited support for approved client sales coaching engagements, such as reviewing a call or script or joining a coaching session. Assignments will reflect your experience and capacity, with deliverables, time commitment, and priorities confirmed before work begins.

Client coaching is not an initial sales priority or a primary responsibility. Ongoing ownership of client coaching programs or management of client sales teams is not included as a standing duty. Any proposed addition of that responsibility will be reviewed and documented in advance, including workload, resources, targets, and any compensation changes.

What Success Looks Like

  • Existing and new partners become productive referral partners, generating suitable opportunities and qualifying sales.
  • Qualified opportunities progress through a well-maintained pipeline and convert into clients with accurate delivery expectations.
  • The assigned team improves its performance, follow-up, and accountability, supported by clear reporting and timely escalation of blockers.

What You Bring

  • Experience in partnerships, referral relationships, channel development, account management, or business development, with examples of generating qualified opportunities and measurable results.
  • Commercial judgment and sales understanding: listen to customer needs, explain value, handle questions and objections, follow through, and be willing to personally close qualified opportunities with training and support.
  • Practical experience coaching or managing salespeople and holding a small or developing team accountable.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, persuasive presentations, and the ability to build trust and influence decisions through education and relationships.
  • Good CRM habits and comfort tracking partner activity, pipeline, sales results, and next steps. HubSpot experience is helpful.
  • Sound judgment, reliable follow-through, and the ability to work independently while respecting budgets, delivery limits, and other teams’ responsibilities.
  • Confidence building relationships in person and willingness to travel for approved conferences and other business events.

Experience in staffing, virtual assistant services, AI services, or another consultative business service is helpful. Direct closing experience and outside client coaching experience are helpful, not required. You do not need a large partner network or prior experience selling every product we offer.

Requirements

Location, Working Arrangements, and Travel

This is a remote position for candidates based in the United States, working full time during US Central-aligned business hours. Travel to approved conferences and other in-person business events is required.

Expected frequency, trip duration, any evening or weekend commitments, and travel arrangements and expense coverage will be discussed during hiring and confirmed before offer acceptance.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: 70, 000–100,000 USD

The base salary is negotiable within the range based on relevant experience, demonstrated results, and leadership capability.

In addition to base salary, the role includes performance incentives designed to reward:

  • Partner channel results, including qualifying business from managed partners even when another closer handles the sale.
  • Personal closing of qualified opportunities from partners and other approved company channels.
  • Performance of the assigned closers and partner support team.

The incentive plan will place the greatest emphasis on partner-generated business. The complete written structure, including rates, targets, sales credit rules, and payment timing, will be provided before offer acceptance.

How to Apply

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
