Job Summary:

We are looking for a Requirements Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing business and system requirements and translating them into clear, testable requirements and scenarios. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure that solutions meet functional and business requirements.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing, test case design, Agile and Waterfall methodologies, user stories, and testing tools, with hands-on experience in testing applications, including systems with interfaces and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand business, functional, and system requirements.
  • Translate requirements and user stories into clear and testable scenarios.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, QA engineers, and other project teams to clarify requirements.
  • Participate in the software development and testing lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on requirements and reference documents.
  • Apply appropriate test case design techniques to ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Perform or support different types of software testing based on project requirements.
  • Conduct regression testing and validate that system changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
  • Test applications involving system interfaces and integrations.
  • Identify, document, investigate, and communicate defects and critical issues discovered during testing.
  • Participate in testing preparation activities, including reviewing requirements, test conditions, test data, and test environments.
  • Work within Agile or Waterfall software development methodologies as required by the project.
  • Maintain accurate testing and requirements documentation.
  • Use appropriate testing tools to support testing and documentation activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements analysis and testing processes.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Requirements Analysis, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, or Software Testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts and testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in creating and executing test cases.
  • Knowledge of different test case design techniques.
  • Experience with regression testing and other software testing types.
  • Understanding of User Stories and software development life cycles.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience testing applications with interfaces and system integrations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with at least one software testing or test management tool.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams composed of business users, developers, and QA professionals.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and identify gaps, ambiguities, and potential risks.
  • Ability to identify critical defects and determine their potential business or system impact.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between requirements, user stories, test cases, and test results.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
