Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) with proven experience in fintech, payments, financial services, payment gateways, merchant services, or related industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for a polished and commercially driven sales professional who thrives in outbound prospecting, lead generation, and enterprise relationship building. You will work closely with Business Development Managers to identify opportunities, engage merchants and decision-makers, and contribute to the growth of a leading global payments organization.

This is a fully onsite role and requires international travel throughout the year for conferences, trade shows, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research target accounts, merchants, partners, and key decision-makers across priority markets.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects through proactive outbound prospecting.
  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, networking, and other sales channels.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to identify merchant needs, payment challenges, and business opportunities.
  • Qualify leads and schedule meetings for Business Development Managers and senior sales stakeholders.
  • Support the sales process by assisting with presentations, proposals, service agreements, and merchant onboarding activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, merchants, and strategic partners.
  • Accurately manage prospect data, activities, and pipeline stages within Salesforce and other CRM platforms.
  • Track prospect engagement, sales activities, and opportunity progression to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers and cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Represent the company at international fintech conferences, trade shows, networking events, and industry gatherings.
  • Generate new merchant and partnership opportunities through conference attendance and relationship-building activities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of payment processing, payment gateways, merchant services, fintech solutions, and industry trends.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed outreach, pipeline generation, and sales performance targets.
  • Deliver a professional, consultative, and solution-oriented sales experience throughout the buyer journey.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, account development, or Sales Development Representative (SDR) roles.
  • Proven experience within FinTech, payments, financial services, payment gateways, merchant services, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), banking technology, or SaaS companies with strong financial exposure.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, lead generation, lead qualification, and pipeline development.
  • Experience engaging with merchants, business owners, decision-makers, and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, merchant acquiring, payment infrastructure, digital payments, or related financial technology solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with strong presentation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales engagement tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Outreach is preferred.
  • Proven track record of working toward sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, target-oriented environment.
  • Stable employment history with demonstrated career progression preferred.
  • Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the assigned hiring location and work onsite full-time (Lisbon, Portugal; Stellenbosch, South Africa; Cairo, Egypt; Buenos Aires, Argentina).
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally approximately 5–6 times per year for conferences, trade shows, and industry events.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
