Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Property Management Sales

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Eastern Time (EST)

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a background in property management or real estate sales to convert inbound opportunities into long-term clients.

This is not a cold prospecting role. You’ll work primarily with property owners, landlords, and real estate investors who have already expressed interest in property management services.

Your focus will be on:

  • Rapid inbound lead response
  • Lead qualification and conversion
  • Property management sales
  • Relationship building
  • Persistent follow-up
  • CRM and pipeline management
  • Moving qualified prospects toward signed agreements

Success in this role comes down to speed to contact, strong phone communication, trust-building, and disciplined follow-up.

If you understand property management and know how to turn interested property owners into clients, this role is a strong fit.

What You’ll Own

Inbound Lead Conversion

  • Respond quickly to inbound property management leads provided by the company.
  • Connect with prospective property owners, landlords, and investors by phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Understand each prospect’s portfolio, challenges, needs, and expectations.
  • Explain property management services clearly and confidently.
  • Position solutions based on the prospect’s specific situation.
  • Move qualified opportunities through the sales pipeline toward signed agreements.
  • Maintain urgency without creating a high-pressure sales experience.

Property Management Sales

Conduct consultative conversations with prospective clients to understand needs related to:

  • Tenant management
  • Leasing
  • Rent collection
  • Maintenance coordination
  • Property operations
  • Portfolio management

Communicate the value of professional property management and help prospects understand how the company’s services can address their operational challenges.

Relationship Building & Follow-Up

  • Build trust and credibility quickly with property owners and investors.
  • Execute persistent, organized follow-up across active opportunities.
  • Re-engage warm leads that are not ready to make an immediate decision.
  • Maintain communication throughout longer sales cycles.
  • Ensure no qualified lead goes untouched or misses a scheduled follow-up.
  • Deliver a responsive and professional client experience from first contact through close.

CRM & Pipeline Management

Maintain accurate CRM records covering:

  • Calls
  • Emails
  • Follow-ups
  • Prospect needs
  • Sales conversations
  • Lead status
  • Next steps
  • Deal stages
  • Conversion activity

Keep the sales pipeline organized and ensure leadership has clear visibility into opportunity progression.

Sales Pipeline Execution

  • Prioritize new inbound leads based on urgency and opportunity.
  • Track prospects through each stage of the sales process.
  • Identify stalled opportunities and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up schedules.
  • Take ownership of moving opportunities toward conversion.
  • Track individual activity and conversion performance.

Collaboration & Market Feedback

Work closely with marketing and leadership to:

  • Share feedback on lead quality.
  • Identify recurring prospect questions and objections.
  • Improve sales messaging and positioning.
  • Highlight opportunities to improve conversion rates.
  • Share insights from conversations with property owners and investors.

Stay informed on property management trends, landlord challenges, investor priorities, and competing services.

Required Experience & Skills

Must-Have

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, client acquisition, or account management.
  • Direct experience in property management sales, real estate sales, property management operations, or a closely related real estate environment.
  • Strong understanding of property owners, landlords, rental properties, or real estate investors.
  • Proven ability to convert leads through phone-based sales conversations.
  • Strong CRM and sales pipeline management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication.
  • Confidence speaking with U.S.-based clients over the phone.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building ability.
  • Excellent follow-up discipline and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple inbound opportunities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Availability to work EST business hours.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Selling property management services.
  • Selling services to landlords or real estate investors.
  • Experience with residential property management.
  • Rental property operations experience.
  • Knowledge of real estate investment markets.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based property owners.
  • Experience converting warm or inbound leads.
  • Remote sales experience.
  • Familiarity with property management or real estate CRM systems.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You:

  • Respond to new opportunities quickly.
  • Are confident and professional on the phone.
  • Understand how property owners and investors think.
  • Build trust without sounding overly aggressive or scripted.
  • Ask strong questions before recommending a solution.
  • Follow up consistently when prospects are not ready to buy immediately.
  • Stay organized while managing multiple active opportunities.
  • Take ownership of pipeline movement and conversion.
  • Enjoy relationship-driven sales.
  • Understand that many deals are won through consistent follow-through rather than a single conversation.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

A typical day may include:

  • Reviewing and responding to new inbound leads.
  • Calling prospective property owners and investors.
  • Conducting qualification and sales conversations.
  • Understanding prospects’ properties, challenges, and management needs.

  • Re-engaging prospects from previous conversations.
  • Updating CRM records and pipeline stages.
  • Tracking scheduled follow-ups and next steps.
  • Coordinating internally on qualified opportunities.
  • Reviewing conversion performance and pipeline activity.

In short: you turn inbound property management inquiries into long-term clients through fast response, strong communication, relationship-building, and persistent follow-up.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
