The posting

The main purpose of the Sales & Marketing Director is to own and lead the company's entire revenue generation function by overseeing both Sales and Marketing as one unified department. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing strategies that generate qualified leads, improve sales performance, and drive sustainable revenue growth for Hustler Marketing.

This includes taking full ownership of the sales and marketing funnel, from generating the first client touchpoint to closing new business, while ensuring that every initiative, campaign, and sales process contributes to predictable and scalable growth. You will oversee lead generation, sales strategy, marketing channels, pipeline management, conversion optimization, team development, and departmental performance.

During your first phase in the role, you will audit our existing sales and marketing operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and personally lead key initiatives to rebuild and strengthen our growth engine. As the function matures, you will recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Sales and Marketing team while delegating execution and maintaining strategic oversight.

The Sales & Marketing Director will report directly to Company Leadership while working collaboratively with the Service Department and other cross-functional teams.

About the Role

Mission Statement

The primary mission of our Sales & Marketing Director is to build a predictable, scalable, and high-performing growth engine that consistently generates qualified leads and converts them into long-term clients.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our marketing efforts generate a steady pipeline of opportunities while continuously improving our sales processes, qualification standards, and closing rates. Through strategic leadership, commercial insight, and operational excellence, you will align both departments toward one common objective: sustainable revenue growth.

As the company continues to grow, you will build and lead a best-in-class Sales and Marketing function that continuously improves acquisition performance, expands our market presence, and strengthens Hustler Marketing's position as the leading retention marketing agency for ecommerce brands.

General Responsibilities

  • Owning the entire sales and marketing funnel from lead generation through to signed contracts and new client acquisition
  • Developing and executing the company's overall sales and marketing strategy in alignment with business growth objectives
  • Auditing existing sales and marketing processes, identifying operational gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, and implementing effective solutions
  • Building predictable and scalable lead generation systems across multiple acquisition channels, including SEO, outbound sales, partnerships, referrals, paid acquisition, content marketing, and other growth initiatives
  • Ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads that supports the company's revenue targets
  • Improving sales performance by optimizing lead qualification, sales processes, pipeline management, and conversion rates
  • Personally leading strategic sales initiatives and key opportunities during the initial rebuild phase while remaining actively involved in high-value deals when required
  • Building, recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing Sales and Marketing teams as the departments continue to scale
  • Managing departmental budgets, hiring plans, resource allocation, and channel investment decisions to maximize return on investment
  • Establishing clear KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting systems across both Sales and Marketing functions
  • Monitoring pipeline health, lead generation performance, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, revenue forecasting, and overall commercial performance
  • Presenting regular performance reports, strategic recommendations, and revenue forecasts to Company Leadership
  • Working closely with the Service Department to ensure alignment between client expectations, sales commitments, and service delivery
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to continuously improve client acquisition, onboarding, and long-term client success
  • Identifying new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and innovative growth initiatives that contribute to the company's long-term expansion
  • Continuously researching industry trends, competitor activity, ecommerce developments, and emerging marketing strategies to maintain Hustler Marketing's competitive advantage
  • Developing scalable processes, documentation, and operational frameworks that improve departmental efficiency and long-term growth
  • Creating a culture of accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence across both Sales and Marketing teams
  • Participating in leadership meetings and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company
  • Supporting other departments with commercial insights and strategic initiatives whenever required
  • Directly reporting to Company Leadership

  • Exclusivity agreement (nullifying the possibility to work in a position of a similar nature while working for Hustler Marketing)
  • Committing to a 30-day notice period after the first two months (with the first two months being the trial-and-adaptation period paid at full rate)
  • Regular performance reviews every 9-12 months, with the first one being after 3-6 months

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
