The posting

Overview of the role

Phoenix is a leading UK IT solutions and managed service provider, with a deep specialism in the public sector. We work with organisations across government, healthcare, defence, public safety, education, housing, and the charity sector - helping them modernise with confidence across cloud, data and AI, cyber security, and managed services.

Through strategic partnerships with the world's leading technology providers - and a trusted place on the major public sector frameworks - our work has a direct impact on the services that millions of people rely on every day.

Due to continued growth, we are hiring a new Security Platforms Solutions Executive to play a key role in driving the growth and adoption of Phoenix's Security Platform portfolio. Working within our Cyber Advisory team, you'll help customers understand the value of our security solutions whilst enabling our sales teams to identify, develop and close new opportunities.

What will you be doing?

  • Driving awareness, adoption and revenue growth across Phoenix's Security Platform offerings.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for solutions including Endpoint Security, SIEM/SOAR and Endpoint Management.
  • Supporting Account Managers and wider sales teams to identify, qualify and progress security opportunities.
  • Leading customer discovery sessions, workshops and scoping discussions to understand business and security challenges.
  • Developing solution proposals, statements of work and bid responses to support customer opportunities.
  • Working closely with strategic vendor partners to support opportunities, align roadmaps and deliver joint initiatives.
  • Supporting and contributing to marketing campaigns, events and thought leadership activities focused on Security Platform solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell the wider Phoenix portfolio.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline management and forecasting through internal systems.
  • Keeping up to date with emerging cyber threats, security trends and market developments.
  • Contributing to the ongoing growth and strategic direction of the Security Platforms and wider Security Solutions practice.

Why should you apply?

At Phoenix, our ambition is to be the UK's leading IT solutions and managed service provider - and we know that only happens because of our people. Culture isn't an afterthought here; it's the thing we work hardest on.

We're proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work®, and to be recognised on their UK Best Workplaces lists for Women, Wellbeing, and Development. These aren't badges we chase - they're the result of how we genuinely choose to treat each other, and how seriously we take our colleagues' careers, health, and lives outside of work.

When you join Phoenix, you can expect:

  • A culture built on trust and belonging: set out clearly in our Culture Blueprint, lived day-to-day, and reflected in our consistently strong colleague feedback.
  • Real investment in your development: structured learning pathways, funded industry certifications, mentoring, and the encouragement to stretch into new areas.
  • A workplace that takes wellbeing seriously: from mental health support and flexible working to active employee networks and a leadership team that listens.
  • A commitment to equity and inclusion: where we actively work to make Phoenix a brilliant place to build a career, whoever you are.
  • Work that matters: supporting the public sector organisations that keep the UK running, from government and healthcare to defence, public safety, education, housing, and the charities serving the most vulnerable in our communities.
  • Working with the best of the industry: alongside genuine experts, and with strategic partnerships across the world's leading technology providers, you'll be at the front of the conversations shaping how UK public services modernise.

We believe in encouraging, supporting, and skilling our people up so that you can be the very best you can be at work - and we'd love you to consider being part of it.

Take a look at our Culture Blueprint to get a real sense of who we are.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a passionate and commercially focused individual who combines a strong interest in cyber security with the ability to engage customers and build trusted relationships.

You may already have experience in a security-focused sales, pre-sales, consultancy or technical role, or be looking to build on your existing security knowledge in a customer-facing position. Above all, you'll be enthusiastic about technology, motivated by creating value for customers and comfortable working collaboratively across sales, technical and vendor teams.

This role would suit someone who enjoys understanding customer challenges, shaping solutions and helping organisations strengthen their security posture through innovative technology and services.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within an IT solutions, technology sales, pre-sales or customer-facing technical role.
  • A strong interest in cyber security and a passion for helping customers solve business and technology challenges.
  • Good knowledge of security technologies and platforms, including areas such as Endpoint Security, SIEM, SOAR and Endpoint Management.
  • Experience conducting discovery conversations and translating customer requirements into effective security solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience creating proposals, solution recommendations or bid responses.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of opportunity management, pipeline development and forecasting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Account Managers, Solution Specialists, delivery teams and strategic vendor partners.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Product demonstration experience would be advantageous.
  • Cyber security certifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
  • Knowledge of current cyber security trends, threats and industry best practices would be advantageous.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
