WHAT YOU WILL DO We are seeking a sharp and versatile Senior Actuarial Analyst to join 360F's growing actuarial function. This role is deliberately designed to sit at the intersection of actuarial science and business analysis combining the quantitative rigour of actuarial practice with the stakeholder communication, requirements gathering, and process improvement mindset of a senior business analyst. You will work directly under the Head of Actuarial, playing a key supporting role across product pricing, actuarial modelling, financial analysis, and client-facing analytics. This is not a pure modelling role, you will be expected to translate actuarial findings into clear business insights, work closely with product, engineering, and client delivery teams, and contribute actively to improving how actuarial knowledge is embedded into 360F's platform and workflows. The ideal candidate has strong actuarial foundations in life, health, and/or investment-linked products, combined with the practical toolkit of a senior BA, from API testing and data scripting to stakeholder workshops and structured documentation. You are analytically precise, commercially aware, and confident communicating across both technical and non-technical audiences. RESPONSIBILITIES Actuarial Analysis & Modelling • Support the Head of Actuarial in the analysis, development, and maintenance of actuarial models for life, health, and investment-linked insurance products across APAC markets. • Conduct experience studies and assumption reviews including mortality, morbidity, persistency, and expense analyses and summarise findings for internal and client stakeholders. • Assist in product pricing exercises building and validating rate tables, benefit illustrations, and premium calculations for new and existing product lines. • Prepare and review actuarial reserve calculations and liability valuations in support of IFRS 17, RBC, and other applicable regulatory frameworks. • Build, test, and document actuarial models in Python or R, progressively moving away from spreadsheet-heavy approaches toward scalable, code-based workflows. • Support the preparation of actuarial opinions, certification letters, and regulatory submissions in coordination with the Head of Actuarial.
Business Analysis & Requirements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product, engineering, client delivery, and finance to gather, analyse, and document actuarial and business requirements for platform features and client solutions. • Translate actuarial and business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering and product teams can act on confidently. • Conduct gap analyses between current actuarial workflows and desired future states, proposing data-driven process improvements and solution options. • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and issue tracking in JIRA serving as the actuarial voice in agile delivery processes. • Liaise with stakeholders across actuarial, finance, product, and technology to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and deliverables. • Contribute to compliance and audit readiness through well-structured documentation of actuarial processes, data flows, and model assumptions.
Data Analysis & Reporting • Build and maintain advanced data models and financial analysis tools using Python, R, and Excel including dashboards, pivot analyses, and scenario modelling for internal and client use. • Monitor and analyse key actuarial and product performance metrics including claims experience, lapse rates, profitability indicators, and pricing adequacy generating insights to support strategic decision-making. • Design and execute data validation and test cases using Postman and scripting tools to verify API outputs from 360F's actuarial and financial calculation engines. • Extract, clean, and analyse insurance policy data from internal databases and client data feeds to support experience studies and ad hoc analytical requests. • Prepare clear, well-visualised actuarial reports and management summaries that communicate complex findings accessibly to non-actuarial stakeholders.
Client & Stakeholder Support • Support the Head of Actuarial in client-facing engagements including workshops, product review sessions, and data analysis requests from insurance carrier and financial advisory clients. • Assist clients in understanding actuarial outputs, model assumptions, and pricing rationale translating technical results into business-friendly language. • Act as a point of contact for actuarial-related queries from internal teams including sales, client success, and product management. • Contribute actuarial input to client needs analysis frameworks, benefit illustration tools, and financial wellness models embedded in 360F's platform.
Process Improvement & Innovation • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or improve actuarial workflows from data ingestion and model execution to reporting and client delivery. • Support the integration of AI and machine learning tools into actuarial processes including validation of ML-based pricing or claims models, and exploration of GenAI tools for actuarial report generation. • Contribute to the development of 360F's internal actuarial knowledge base including model documentation, assumption registers, and process guides.
