About Arkham

Arkham is a Data & AI Platform that helps large enterprises:

  • Unify fragmented systems and data
  • Build a single source of trusted operational metrics
  • Solve complex challenges with AI tailored to their operations

Teams at Circle K and Kimberly-Clark partner with us to deploy AI-powered solutions for sell-out forecasting, pricing and promo analysis, and automated order assignment. With Arkham, they achieve high-impact results fast, creating a strong foundation for long-term AI transformation.

About the Role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you build and own the systems that power AI at Arkham. Your work spans our in-platform LLM application, used by data analysts and financial analysts at enterprise customers, and the internal agentic frameworks that help our software engineers across the development lifecycle.

You’ll have end-to-end ownership: from system design and development through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You’ll partner with engineering and product to turn complex requirements into reliable software and help shape Arkham’s AI architecture.

What You’ll Work On

  • Build and evolve Arkham’s in-platform LLM application, helping enterprise users explore data, perform analysis, and inform business decisions
  • Develop internal agentic frameworks and tools that support code development, testing, review, and CI pipelines
  • Design backend services, APIs, and infrastructure that support AI applications and agent execution
  • Build agentic workflows with tool integration, state management, and failure recovery
  • Establish evaluations and automated testing to measure quality and prevent regressions
  • Own deployment, monitoring, debugging, and ongoing improvement of production systems
  • Improve reliability, latency, and cost across models, tools, and backend services
  • Work with engineering and product to define technical approaches and establish reusable patterns for AI development

What We Require

  • 3+ years of professional Python development experience, with a proven track record of shipping and maintaining production applications
  • 2+ years of experience designing and building backend systems, including APIs, databases, and asynchronous workflows
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control, and code reviews
  • Experience building reliable services with clear observability, error handling, and monitoring
  • Proven ability to own systems from technical design through deployment and production maintenance
  • Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into practical technical decisions and working software
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain architectural decisions and their tradeoffs

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience developing agentic workflows and execution loops, including tool calling, state management, and failure recovery
  • Experience integrating LLMs into applications, including structured outputs, context management, and external tools or data sources
  • Experience designing evaluations to measure AI system quality and catch regressions
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), search, and document processing
  • Experience implementing permissions, data isolation, and safeguards for AI systems that take actions
  • Understanding of the tradeoffs between model quality, latency, and cost
  • Experience building developer tools or automating parts of the software development lifecycle

Why This Role Is Different

You’ll shape both the AI capabilities our customers use and the tools our engineers use to build them. This role combines challenging enterprise problems, meaningful influence over Arkham’s AI architecture, and full ownership of the systems you ship. Your work will directly affect how customers analyze their business and how our engineering team develops and delivers software.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
