· Drive and monitor contractor performance against safety, schedule, quality, budget, and contractual commitments.

· Partner with general contractors, EPC firms, trade partners, OEM vendors, and other key project stakeholders to proactively identify and promptly mitigate project challenges.

· Lead construction planning efforts to ensure efficient sequencing, logistics coordination, and workface readiness.

· Drive accountability for milestone achievement and project delivery objectives.

· Support constructability reviews and provide input during design development and preconstruction phases.

· Ensure construction activities align with project execution plans, turnover strategies, and commissioning requirements.

· Lead regular field walks and site inspections to verify progress, identify risks, and support issue resolution.

· Facilitate contractor coordination meetings, progress reviews, and milestone planning sessions.

· Review contractor staffing plans, productivity, logistics strategies, and resource allocation.

· Support project teams in resolving field conflicts, design coordination issues, procurement constraints, and execution risks.

· Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, project objectives, and Montera standards.

· Provide leadership during critical project milestones, commissioning activities, turnover events, and customer readiness reviews.

Schedule Management & Planning

· Partner with program controls (scheduling team) to support development and maintenance of integrated project schedules.

· Review contractor schedules, look-ahead plans, recovery plans, and milestone forecasts.

· Monitor schedule performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery.

· Partner with contractors and project teams to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.

· Perform critical path reviews and support schedule forecasting activities.

· Ensure schedule updates accurately reflect field progress and project realities.

· Communicate schedule status, risks, and recovery actions to project leadership and stakeholders.

· Participate in pull planning, milestone planning, and interactive planning sessions.

· In close partnership with the EH&S team, champion Montera's commitment to safety and ensure contractor compliance with all site safety requirements.

· Promote a culture of incident prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement.

· Support safety audits, site inspections, and corrective action programs.

· Monitor installation quality and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.

· Partner with QA/QC teams to identify deficiencies, reduce rework, and support successful turnover.

· Ensure punch-list management and project closeout activities are completed efficiently and effectively.

Commercial and Risk Management

· Partner closely with program controls (commercial management team) to develop and manage the project budget from preconstruction through closeout, keeping scope, allowances, and contingency clearly identified with actuals tracked against the baseline budget.

· Manage the change process end to end, validating scope, pricing, and schedule impact on every PCO and change order.

· Review and validate contractor and vendor pay applications against earned progress and the schedule of values.

· Maintain rolling cost forecasts and estimate at completion, flagging exposures early.

· Own the project risk register, logging cost and schedule risks and driving mitigation to closure.

· Lead budget closeout, reconciling final costs and capturing benchmarks and lessons learned.

Commissioning & Turnover

· Partner with commissioning team to support turnover planning and startup readiness.

· Coordinate construction completion activities to align with commissioning schedules.

· Support phased turnover strategies and operational readiness planning.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
