The posting

Homey is building the operating system for UK residential property transactions: one AI-native platform connecting conveyancing, mortgages and sales progression. Our group includes an SRA-authorised conveyancing firm and an FCA-regulated mortgage broker, so our product runs real, regulated transactions every day.

We work dual-shore: UK professionals alongside operational and product teams in Sri Lanka. As a Senior Product Manager in Colombo, you will own a major area of the platform end to end, setting its direction, deciding what we build, and turning it into specifications our engineers can build from. You will be one of the most senior product voices in our Sri Lanka team, and we pay at the top of the Sri Lankan market to hire the very best.

What you will own

You are accountable for outcomes in a major product area, such as case management, client onboarding or lender integrations. That means owning what gets built, why it gets built, and whether it worked.

  • Direction. Set the vision and roadmap for your area and tie it to company goals.
  • Discovery. Run your own research with UK conveyancers, case handlers, mortgage advisers and partners. Test ideas before engineers build them.
  • Specs engineers can build from. Write PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria clear enough that engineers rarely need to come back with questions.
  • Prioritisation. Own the backlog in ClickUp, make the trade-offs, and say no when needed.
  • Delivery and results. Own the release, define success metrics, and track them in PostHog and BigQuery after launch.
  • Compliance by design. Work with our UK compliance leads so features meet SRA, FCA and data protection requirements before build, not after.
  • Raising the bar. Coach other PMs and business analysts in the Sri Lanka team, and set the standard for specs and product rituals.

Requirements

Must have

  • 6+ years in product management, including at least 3 years at a global product company or international scale-up (for example, a UK, US or European product business, or a Sri Lankan centre building a global product)
  • Has owned a product area end to end: set the roadmap, ran discovery, shipped, and measured the result
  • Can show results with numbers: features that moved a business metric
  • Has worked directly with senior stakeholders in the UK, Europe or US
  • Excellent written and spoken English: your specs and decision documents are read in both countries
  • Strong with data: can write SQL or pull your own analysis

Nice to have

  • Has mentored or managed other PMs or business analysts
  • Experience in PropTech, legal tech, fintech or another regulated domain
  • Knowledge of the UK property, conveyancing or mortgage process
  • Experience designing workflows that use AI or automation (we use n8n and LLM agents heavily)
  • Comfortable wireframing in Figma

We are hiring for the top end of the market. If you have shipped products used by international customers and can show the numbers behind your work, we want to hear from you.

Benefits

Pay and terms

  • Monthly pay: LKR 700,000 - 1,000,000, depending on experience, plus an annual performance bonus
  • Engagement: full-time contractor, with office space and equipment provided
  • Location: our Colombo office, with regular overlap with UK hours (around 1:30pm - 6:30pm Sri Lanka time)
  • Reporting to: the UK-based product lead

Why Homey

  • Own a major product area in a fast-growing UK PropTech business, with real regulated transactions running through your work every day
  • Work directly with UK legal, mortgage and compliance experts and with the founder
  • AI-native from day one: build with LLM agents, n8n automation and modern analytics (PostHog, BigQuery)
  • A clear path to lead product people as our Sri Lanka product team grows

How we hire

  • A short introductory call
  • Take-home case study (around 4 hours) on a real Homey problem: how you would find the right solution, what you would build first and why, and a one-page spec with acceptance criteria
  • Panel interview: present your case study, then a session with one of our engineers who challenges your spec
  • Reference calls with two people you have reported to in a product role
  • Conversation with the founder

We aim to complete the process within three weeks.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
