About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead development for our Web Platform in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role carries significant ownership and influence, requiring strong product judgment, adaptability, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business strategy and customer outcomes.
You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate product vision and strategic initiatives into well-defined, high-impact software solutions. The ideal candidate demonstrates maturity in decision-making, a strong grasp of web-based platforms, and the confidence to lead within Agile teams while balancing tactical execution with long-term product goals. This is a hybrid position based out of our Downtown Phoenix corporate office.
Essential Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Own and drive the product backlog, ensuring alignment with product strategy, business objectives, and customer needs.
- Make informed prioritization decisions within and across sprints to maximize customer and business value.
- Ensure backlog items are clearly articulated, well-refined, and appropriately estimated to support predictable delivery.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and discovery sessions, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories.
- Partner with Product Management to support roadmap execution and incremental delivery of strategic initiatives.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality features on time.
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert for the web platform, serving as a key point of contact for internal teams.
- Proactively communicate priorities, trade-offs, risks, and progress to stakeholders across the organization.
- Support alignment across teams by balancing technical constraints, user experience, and business priorities.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on industry trends, web and API technologies, and Agile best practices to inform product decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, product scalability, and customer experience.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making and iterative learning.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product-focused role.
- Strong experience in business process analysis and translating requirements into technical solutions.
- Solid understanding of web application and API-based systems.
- Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles and modern web usability standards.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Some travel may be required.
