The posting

This role owns four connected product areas that together drive how Makro prices, promotes and rewards its customers across channels and markets: Loyalty Core (points, tiers, campaigns and membership), the RM3 Price and Promotion Engine (the real-time pricing and promotion calculation behind online, offline and third-party sales), Catalog including the Key Account Pricing Module for credit customers, and Voucher (online and offline).

The common thread is pricing and promotion logic that must behave consistently for every customer type and in every market. The Senior Product Owner will work across Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar, and will be accountable for making sure loyalty rules, promotion rules, voucher rules and key account pricing work together instead of conflicting.

The Tech Lead leads engineering delivery and architecture, but this role must be technically sound enough to specify API-level behavior, challenge design trade-offs and troubleshoot pricing discrepancies with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for Loyalty Core: points accrual and redemption, membership and tier models, campaigns, referral and mission-based programs, and the admin portal approval workflow for international markets
  • Own the RM3 Price and Promotion Engine: simple, slab and complex promotions, channel-based promotions, per-customer purchase limits, and the get-price, calculate-invoice and promotion-advice APIs used by online, offline and third-party channels
  • Own Catalog and the Key Account Pricing Module: pricing and margin calculation for credit and key account customers, approval flows through Commercial Hub, and the salesman portfolio capability
  • Own Voucher across online and offline channels, including unifying the two experiences and controlling abuse and fraud
  • Ensure pricing logic is consistent across loyalty, promotions, vouchers and key account pricing; identify and resolve rule conflicts before they reach customers
  • Support market rollouts in the Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar, including localization, POS integration and market-specific dashboards
  • Work with Marketing, Buying, Finance, Credit Sales and market teams to capture requirements and prioritize the backlog
  • Write PRDs and acceptance criteria, run sprint planning and UAT with the engineering and QA teams, and coordinate releases
  • Support platform modernization work such as the Mendix to Next.js migration, balancing technical debt against business features

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of product management or product ownership experience, ideally with loyalty, pricing, promotion or voucher engines in retail, wholesale or e-commerce
  • Technical credibility: comfortable reading API specifications, reasoning about request and response behavior, event-driven and microservice architectures, and basic SQL for validating data
  • Strong analytical ability to work through layered pricing and promotion rule hierarchies and spot edge cases and conflicts
  • Experience managing several product areas at once with sound prioritization
  • Experience working across multiple markets or regions, including localization and rollout coordination
  • Strong stakeholder management across Marketing, Buying, Finance, Credit Sales and technology teams
  • Fluency in English; Thai is an advantage

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing loyalty programs (points, tiers, referral, gamified missions)
  • Experience with B2B, credit or key account pricing and margin management
  • Familiarity with Oracle Retail or similar retail merchandising and pricing systems
  • Exposure to third-party seller or marketplace integrations
  • Experience with POS integration for promotions and vouchers

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
