The posting

The Senior Property Accounting Officer is responsible for all property accounting activities and financial reporting related to ESR's owned and managed income-producing real estate assets. Working closely with Property Managers, the Asset Management team, and the Finance team, this role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of property financial information, enabling owners, lenders, and internal stakeholders to make informed business decisions. The role also contributes to the protection and enhancement of asset value through strong internal controls, proper account reconciliations, and clear financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

-Prepare monthly property reports, including prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and operating expense reconciliations.

-Input and maintain relevant financial and operational data in Yardi, an integrated property management and accounting platform.

-Manage cash receipts, disbursements, and payment processing activities.

-Perform monthly reconciliations of statutory trust accounts.

-Prepare monthly profit and loss (P&L) variance analysis and commentary, and support the Asset Management and Property Management teams in operating against approved budgets and forecasts.

-Support the Asset Management and Property Management teams in the monitoring and administration of capital expenditure (CapEx) projects.

-Prepare owner remittance statements and cash flow forecasts.

-Participate in team projects and demonstrate accountability and ownership for assigned deliverables and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of property accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry, preferably involving logistics assets.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Highly self-motivated, with strong time management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and results orientation.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience using Yardi property management and accounting software. (Desirable)
