The posting

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Superintendent / Project Manager to lead high-end residential construction projects throughout Greater Boston, from preconstruction through final completion and closeout.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing luxury custom homes, multifamily construction, major renovations, and historic restoration projects, particularly architect-driven projects and complex urban sites. This role combines hands-on field leadership with overall project management, requiring strong expertise in scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety, and client communication.

The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to exceptional standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-end residential construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover and closeout.
  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead schedules, construction sequencing, and site logistics plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, consultants, inspectors, designers, and homeowners.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project documents to ensure accurate field execution.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, inspections, daily reports, and other project documentation.
  • Lead jobsite meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, quality reviews, and progress updates.
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts, existing-condition issues, constructability concerns, material delays, and scheduling challenges.
  • Coordinate manpower, material deliveries, equipment, site access, and subcontractor sequencing.
  • Maintain exceptional craftsmanship and quality across structural work, architectural details, millwork, finishes, and final completion.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, labor productivity, material usage, and subcontractor performance.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, company safety policies, housekeeping standards, and site procedures.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professionally managed jobsites.
  • Provide regular project updates to homeowners, ownership, architects, designers, and company leadership.
  • Oversee punch lists, owner walkthroughs, warranty items, turnover documentation, and final closeout.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of construction experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • 10+ years of residential construction project management or field leadership experience in Greater Boston.
  • Proven experience managing luxury custom homes, multifamily construction, major renovations, or historic restoration projects.
  • Highly preferred: Historic renovation, brownstone restoration, or architect-driven residential construction experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Boston-area construction practices, permitting, inspections, urban site logistics, and local subcontractor coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, quality control, and project documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
  • Experience managing complex projects in occupied, constrained, or urban environments.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar construction platforms.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong field presence and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high construction standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with homeowners, architects, designers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and other stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $120,000–$160,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive health benefits.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Consistent pipeline of high-end residential construction projects.
  • Significant project ownership and senior field leadership responsibility.
  • Opportunity to lead complex, architecturally significant residential projects throughout Greater Boston.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
  • Long-term career growth and leadership opportunities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
