The successful candidate will be a hands-on, treatment-producing leader who can manage the full scope of the business — guest journey, team performance, revenue, and operational standards — while actively supporting service delivery during the opening ramp-up, peak demand, and team-member absences.

WHO YOU ARE

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced but disciplined entrepreneurial environment. You are an independent thinker who is enthusiastic and committed to quality and you thrive on consistently delivering unparalleled results. Working concurrently with multiple departments and partners on different tasks, you are a team player with excellent follow-through and communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Pre-Opening and Mobilization

• Lead all operational planning and readiness activities for the spa opening, serving as the primary owner of pre-opening execution from hire date forward. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and training of the opening team in partnership with Operations and HR

• Implement the approved treatment menu, pricing, treatment protocols and service sequences

• Establish operating SOPs, checklists, sanitation standards and opening and closing procedures

• Coordinate product, linen, retail and operational-supply requirements and opening inventories

• Support equipment commissioning, room setup, treatment simulations and operational readiness testing

• Coordinate with Operations, HR, Finance, Marketing, Development and external spa consultants

• Confirm that practitioners complete required credential checks, assessments and treatment certifications before serving guests

Operations and Guest Experience

• Lead the daily operation of the spa, salon and approved wellness programming

• Maintain a personalized luxury guest experience consistent with Coral Sands service standards

• Manage reservations, therapist utilization, treatment-room allocation and daily scheduling

• Monitor treatment quality, room presentation, sanitation, guest recovery and service consistency

• Resolve guest concerns professionally and ensure timely follow-up

• Maintain compliance with all Bahamian health, safety, licensing and practitioner requirements

• Deliver treatments when qualified and required by operating demand

• Manage relationships with product suppliers, linen vendors and equipment service providers, working closely with them to monitor performance, troubleshoot operational issues and maintain reliable supply chains within the constraints of an island operating environment

Financial and Commercial Performance

• Manage the department according to the approved operating budget and financial controls

• Monitor revenue, payroll, product costs, retail sales and departmental profitability

• Drive treatment-room utilization, average treatment rate, retail capture, rebooking and repeat business

• Develop packages for hotel guests, villas, weddings, groups and festive periods

• Manage inventory, purchasing, receiving, stock controls and professional-product usage

• Prepare regular forecasts, operating reports and performance commentary • Identify commercial opportunities without compromising the guest experience

Leadership, Training and Quality Assurance

• Lead, coach and develop employed and scheduled/on-call practitioners

• Establish practical assessments and treatment-protocol certification

• Conduct daily briefings, service observations and ongoing skills training

• Maintain clear performance expectations and accountability

• Support a respectful, inclusive and collaborative team culture

• Implement luxury-service training and simulations aligned with Forbes principles

• Develop qualified local practitioners and create pathways for advancement

Leadership Profile

• Hands-on and willing to support treatment delivery

• Commercially disciplined and comfortable with financial accountability

• Calm, organized and solutions-oriented

• Highly attentive to cleanliness, detail, discretion and guest privacy

• Capable of operating effectively with limited island resources

• Proactive in surfacing guest feedback, service recovery situations and operational issues to leadership, with sound judgment on what requires immediate escalation

• Respectful of Bahamian culture, local practitioners and community relationships

Requirements

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum five years of progressive luxury spa or wellness-management experience

• Previous leadership experience in a five-star hotel, resort or internationally recognized spa

• Pre-opening, reopening or major operational-mobilization experience strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of spa operations, treatments, retail, inventory and financial management

• Experience recruiting, training and leading multicultural teams

• Ability to interpret budgets, forecasts, payroll and operating reports

• Familiarity with Book4Time or a comparable spa scheduling and point-of-sale platform preferred

• Recognized massage, beauty, wellness or spa-management qualification

• Current first-aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification before opening

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

• Experience in an island, remote or seasonal resort environment highly desirable Required

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
