Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systematics Support Engineer (ALS) to provide operational support for mission-critical Systematics ALS (Asset & Liability System) applications running on IBM Mainframe (z/OS). The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of critical banking batch and online processing. As part of a 24x7 production support organization, the engineer will lead production incident resolution, monitor End-of-Day (EOD) batch processing, troubleshoot complex application issues, and work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure uninterrupted banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for Systematics ALS applications.
  • Monitor and support End-of-Day (EOD), Beginning-of-Day (BOD), and scheduled batch processing activities.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production incidents affecting Systematics ALS applications.
  • Analyze batch failures, job abends, JCL errors, and processing delays to ensure successful business processing.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions for recurring issues.
  • Monitor application performance, batch execution, and system availability to maintain operational stability.
  • Support production deployments, implementation activities, and post-release validation.
  • Coordinate with application development, infrastructure, database, and operations teams during production incidents.
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in disaster recovery exercises, production readiness reviews, and change management activities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, SLAs, and ITIL best practices.

  • 6–10+ years of experience in Mainframe Production Support.
  • Minimum 4+ years supporting Systematics ALS applications in enterprise banking or financial services environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
  • Experience supporting large-scale banking batch processing and mission-critical production environments.
  • Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA-7, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based production support processes.
  • Knowledge of core banking systems and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) processes is an advantage.
