Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions.
  • Optimize website performance, ensuring fast load times and responsive design across devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to WordPress functionality and performance.
  • Implement best practices for security, including regular updates and vulnerability assessments.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers to enhance team capabilities.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in WordPress and web development to continuously improve processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a WordPress developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL related to WordPress development.
  • Strong experience with WordPress CMS architecture, including custom post types, taxonomies, and hooks.
  • Demonstrated ability to build responsive and user-friendly websites optimized for performance.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Knowledge of website security principles and best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

RM5,500 - RM10,000 gross per month
