Buscamos un Senior Shopify / Full-Stack Developer experimentado para unirse a su equipo técnico y asumir la responsabilidad del desarrollo, evolución y mantenimiento del storefront existente, asegurando la continuidad operativa y la escalabilidad de la plataforma.

Esta es una oportunidad 100% remota para profesionales ubicados en América Latina.

Descripción del rol

Como Senior Shopify / Full-Stack Developer, serás responsable del desarrollo, mantenimiento técnico y optimización continua de la plataforma e-commerce en Shopify sobre un storefront ya existente. El rol abarca desde la implementación de nuevas funcionalidades, landings y secciones hasta la integración de sistemas externos, garantizando un rendimiento óptimo y una arquitectura estable.

Asimismo, tendrás un rol clave en el ownership de producción, liderando el diagnóstico, soporte y resolución de incidentes críticos de forma autónoma. No desarrollarás el sitio desde cero, sino que serás el dueño técnico encargado de hacer evolucionar el sistema, resolver problemas complejos de causa raíz e implementar mejoras con altos estándares de calidad.

Proceso de selección

El proceso consta habitualmente de 4 etapas y toma en promedio entre 4 y 6 semanas para completarse, dependiendo de eventuales rondas técnicas adicionales o pruebas prácticas.

Como Workana cuenta con múltiples clientes, si apruebas la primera ronda con nuestro equipo de reclutamiento, también podrás ser considerado para otras oportunidades relevantes en caso de que la oportunidad inicial no avance.

Responsabilidades

  • Desarrollar: Diseñar e implementar landing pages, nuevas secciones, componentes comerciales e integraciones con APIs externas (ERP, medios de pago, logística, CRM, analytics y webhooks).
  • Mantener: Evolucionar themes existentes y código mediante Liquid, JavaScript, Shopify APIs y Shopify Functions, asegurando un mantenimiento preventivo y de calidad.
  • Optimizar la performance del sitio, Core Web Vitals, SEO técnico y la seguridad del código e integraciones.
  • Gestionar el ciclo de vida del código mediante Git, estrategias de branching, pull requests, code reviews y deploys entre ambientes (Dev / Staging / Production).
  • Ownear producción: Diagnosticar, atender y resolver de forma autónoma incidentes críticos en producción (errores de checkout, caídas, pagos, stock o promociones).
  • Analizar logs y trazabilidad para identificar la causa raíz de las fallas, ejecutando soluciones definitivas y evitando parches temporales.
  • Proveer soporte y disponibilidad para garantizar la continuidad operativa y la alta disponibilidad de la plataforma e-commerce.
  • Colaborar de forma proactiva con equipos multidisciplinarios (Ecommerce, Marketing, Comercial e IT) traduciendo requerimientos de negocio en soluciones técnicas.

Requirements

  • 5+ años de experiencia en desarrollo web, con trayectoria comprobable en desarrollo y mantenimiento de plataformas e-commerce en Shopify.
  • Experiencia trabajando sobre storefronts existentes, arquitecturas ya implementadas y sitios de alto tráfico en producción.
  • Dominio avanzado de Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 y Shopify CLI.
  • Sólida experiencia trabajando con Shopify APIs (REST y GraphQL), Shopify Functions, Webhooks y ecosistema de Apps.
  • Experiencia práctica en integración de sistemas externos (ERP, Payment Gateways, Logistics, CRM) y manejo de APIs.
  • Manejo sólido de Git, flujo de trabajo en equipo (pull requests, code review) y gestión de ambientes de desarrollo.
  • Fuertes habilidades analíticas de troubleshooting, diagnóstico de performance y resolución autónoma de fallas complejas sin supervisión constante.
  • Excelente capacidad de comunicación y perfil orientado a resultados bajo presión ante incidentes operativos.
  • Estar ubicado en América Latina.

Puntos extra

  • Experiencia previa en backend con Node.js y arquitectura de servicios.
  • Experiencia en implementación de pipelines de CI/CD.
  • Experiencia en e-commerce de alto tráfico donde la continuidad operativa sea altamente crítica.
