The posting

We’re looking for an Intermediate, and a Senior, Full Stack .Net Software Engineer to join our Platform team, to help build the foundational services, libraries, and tooling that power our product engineering squads.

You’ll be joining a highly skilled and fun team that values engineering excellence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the stack, designing and building scalable backend services while also creating intuitive, high-quality frontend experiences. You'll contribute to everything from cloud-native services and platform tooling to modern web applications used by engineers and product teams across the organisation.

We hold high standards in coding practices, security, performance, observability, accessibility, and test coverage. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges across both frontend and backend domains, and shaping the engineering experience across an organisation, this is the place to do it.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • Use your expertise in C# and .NET to build core services, libraries, APIs, and tools that enable our engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable products
  • Design and develop modern web applications and user interfaces using Angular or similar frontend frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with your squad, other engineering teams, and our architecture team to design and evolve a robust, secure, and high-performing platform
  • Champion engineering quality by producing consistent, maintainable, accessible, and well-tested code across both frontend and backend systems
  • Contribute to API design, application architecture, and user experience decisions that deliver value to both engineers and end users
  • Mentor and support less experienced engineers, helping them grow in both technical skill and engineering maturity
  • Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, support refactoring, and enhance design decision-making

Requirements

About you

You're an experienced software engineer with a proven track record at either an intermediate or senior level. You enjoy working across the technology stack and have strong problem-solving skills, enabling you to deliver high-quality solutions in complex technical environments.

You'll have strong experience with:

  • C# and .NET
  • Frontend development: Experience with Angular is preferred; however, candidates with experience in other modern frontend frameworks and a strong willingness to learn and adapt are encouraged to apply
  • Web technologies: TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practices
  • API development and integration: Building and consuming RESTful services
  • Containerization and deployment tooling: Docker, Kubernetes, Octopus Deploy, Azure Pipelines
  • Cloud services: Microsoft Azure
  • Modern delivery practices: CI/CD, Agile, automated testing
  • AI-assisted code development: Using tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar to enhance productivity, improve code quality, and support rapid prototyping
  • A passion for building high-quality software and platform capabilities that other teams depend on

This is a hybrid role with a home and office-based split, requiring regular weekly (1 day per week) attendance in the Auckland office.

We are only considering applicants with an existing right to work in New Zealand, without requiring employer sponsorship.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
