The posting

Exotec designs elegant, plug-and-play, and reliable end-to-end warehouse robotics solutions. As a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and integrator, we support some of the world’s most iconic brands in their transition to automation. We’re proud to design technology that doesn’t just redefine intralogistics, it also makes warehouses safer, faster, more efficient, and less physically demanding for the people working inside them.

Why this role matters:

Our Software Integration team serves as the technical bridge between software and robotics, working directly on customer-facing integration projects to ensure Exotec's automation platform communicates seamlessly with the systems that power modern warehouse operations, from testing and deployment through go-live.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and support software integrations between Exotec products and customer software ecosystems, including WMS, WCS, ERP, and other operational platforms.
  • Participate in the analysis of customer business and software requirements and contribute to the development of scalable integration solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot APIs, interfaces, data flows, and middleware components supporting warehouse automation deployments.
  • Create and maintain software development specifications, technical documentation, and functional analyses describing system behavior and integration workflows.
  • Support integration testing, system validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities to ensure successful software deployments.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, field commissioning, project management, and customer teams to ensure seamless end-to-end system integration.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues spanning software, databases, APIs, messaging systems, and warehouse automation environments.
  • Review functional requirements and technical specifications to ensure quality, maintainability, and alignment with customer needs.
  • Support the handoff of new software functionality and integrations to operational, support, and customer teams.
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings, workshops, testing sessions, and deployment activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on software quality, deployment processes, testing practices, and engineering standards.
  • Provide on-site support at customer warehouse locations across North America as required.
  • Demonstrate Exotec's values and contribute positively to our collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of all genders to help us build a truly inclusive environment. If you don’t meet every requirement listed below, don’t worry—your skills and experiences may still make you a great fit!

  • 1-4 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, application support, automation, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience developing or supporting software applications using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, SQL, REST APIs, or similar modern software development tools.
  • Understanding of software integration concepts, including APIs, data flows, messaging, middleware, databases, or system-to-system communication.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze technical issues and identify root causes.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exposure to warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), warehouse execution systems (WES), logistics, fulfillment, industrial automation, robotics, or material handling systems is highly desirable. If not, a willingness to learn warehouse automation technologies, software integration practices, and customer deployment processes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), or enterprise integrations is considered a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% to customer sites throughout North America.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package, inclusive of annual performance bonus
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage
  • Generous vacation and time off policy
  • 401(k) with company match up to 5%
  • Continuous opportunities for training and development in a rapidly growing, international company
  • Beautiful, newly renovated office space in midtown Atlanta

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
