The posting

Due to continued international growth, Oikonomakis Law is expanding its London presence and seeking a highly qualified Solicitor to join our UK team. This role offers exposure to high-profile clients, complex matters, and the opportunity to take on key leadership and compliance positions within our London branch.

This is a diverse legal role involving advisory work, dispute resolution, drafting, negotiations, and regulatory oversight. The successful candidate will also assume core compliance and management positions within the London office:

  1. COLP – Compliance Officer for Legal Practice
  2. COFA – Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration
  3. Manager & Head of Legal Practice (London Office)

This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious solicitor seeking both responsibility and international exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation across a wide range of matters.
  • Prepare, draft, and review legal documents, agreements, and reports.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across our international offices to deliver effective solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK laws and regulations, ensuring full SRA compliance.
  • Oversee compliance processes and support the operational management of the London branch.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, upholding the firm’s high standards of service.

Requirements

We are seeking a solicitor with strong legal expertise and a proactive, client-focused approach. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified UK Solicitor status
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in practice
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to balance multiple deadlines
  • A self-driven mindset with a high standard of professional integrity
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in engaging with clients
  • For more senior candidates: leadership experience and the ability to foster a positive team environment
  • Fluent written and spoken English
