The posting

We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist / Consultant Acute Medicine with Saudi Board certification to provide comprehensive assessment and management of acutely ill adult patients, ensuring timely diagnosis, stabilization and appropriate ongoing care in accordance with UAE healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients presenting with acute and undifferentiated medical conditions.
  • Perform rapid clinical assessment, stabilization and appropriate initial management.
  • Recognize and manage medical emergencies within the approved scope of practice.
  • Request and interpret appropriate laboratory, imaging and diagnostic investigations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Coordinate admissions, referrals and transfers when clinically indicated.
  • Work closely with emergency medicine, intensive care and other medical specialties.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions and handover.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Maintain professional competence through CPD and continuing education.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent).
  • Saudi Board certification in Acute Medicine / Internal Medicine with relevant Acute Medicine experience, as applicable.
  • Relevant specialist/consultant-level clinical experience.
  • Eligible for or holding a valid UAE Specialist / Consultant licence, subject to applicable health authority requirements.
  • Current Good Standing Certificate and required credentialing/verification documents.
  • Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Qualified international doctors meeting the required qualifications and UAE licensing criteria are encouraged to apply.
