A leading Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant – Cardiac Electrophysiology to join its advanced cardiology team.
The successful candidate will provide specialized care for patients with complex cardiac rhythm disorders and perform advanced electrophysiology procedures in collaboration with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders.
- Perform and interpret comprehensive electrophysiology studies.
- Perform catheter-based procedures including radiofrequency and cryoablation for appropriate arrhythmias.
- Manage patients requiring device-based therapies, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators.
- Assess and manage atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, and other rhythm disorders.
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments and provide comprehensive post-procedure follow-up.
- Collaborate with cardiac imaging, cardiology, cardiac surgery, and critical care teams.
- Participate in emergency management of complex cardiac rhythm cases.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to patient-safety and clinical governance standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement programs, teaching, and continuing medical education.
Requirements
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiology with subspecialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology / Electrophysiology.
- Relevant Specialist or Consultant-level experience.
- Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or German Board are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated experience in electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation procedures.
- Experience managing complex arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices.
- Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and multidisciplinary communication abilities.
- Previous experience in a tertiary, teaching, or government hospital is advantageous.
