The posting

We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist / Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with UK CCT to provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including pre-operative assessment, cardiac surgery and post-operative management, in accordance with UAE healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients requiring cardiac surgical intervention.
  • Perform cardiac surgical procedures within approved clinical privileges.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
  • Provide post-operative care and manage surgical complications.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, anaesthetists, intensivists and multidisciplinary cardiac teams.
  • Review and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac meetings and clinical discussions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Maintain professional competence through CPD and continuing education.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent).
  • UK CCT in Cardiothoracic Surgery / Cardiac Surgery or applicable recognized qualification.
  • Relevant specialist/consultant-level clinical experience.
  • Eligible for or holding a valid UAE Specialist / Consultant Cardiac Surgery licence, subject to applicable health authority requirements.
  • Current Good Standing Certificate and required credentialing/verification documents.
  • Strong surgical, clinical and communication skills.
  • Qualified international doctors meeting the required qualifications and UAE licensing criteria are encouraged to apply.
