A leading Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant – Periodontics to join its specialized dental team.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive periodontal care, including the diagnosis and treatment of complex periodontal and implant-related conditions. The role involves working closely with restorative dentists, implantologists, oral surgeons, and other dental specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of periodontal and peri-implant conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive periodontal assessment and diagnostic findings.
- Perform non-surgical and surgical periodontal procedures as clinically indicated.
- Manage advanced periodontal disease and complex periodontal cases.
- Perform periodontal regenerative procedures and soft-tissue grafting where appropriate.
- Provide comprehensive peri-implant disease management and maintenance.
- Collaborate with implantologists, prosthodontists, oral surgeons, and other dental specialists for multidisciplinary treatment planning.
- Monitor treatment outcomes and provide appropriate long-term periodontal maintenance.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and periodontal health.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to infection-control, patient-safety, and clinical governance standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, teaching, and continuing professional development.
Requirements
- Recognized Dental Degree (BDS/DDS/DMD or equivalent).
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Periodontics / Periodontology.
- Relevant Specialist or Consultant-level clinical experience.
- Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or German Board are encouraged to apply.
- Strong experience in advanced periodontal procedures and management of complex periodontal cases.
- Experience in periodontal surgery, regenerative procedures, and peri-implant disease management.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient-management skills.
- Previous experience in a tertiary, teaching, or government healthcare facility is advantageous.
