We're Hiring | Specialist Interventional Cardiologist

📍 Location: Dubai

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Specialist Interventional Cardiologist to join our cardiology team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and interventional management of patients with cardiovascular diseases, with a particular focus on catheter-based cardiac procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in interventional cardiology, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiology consultations, clinical assessments, and cardiovascular risk evaluations.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, hypertension, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmias.
  • Perform interventional cardiology procedures within the physician's licensed scope, clinical competency, and hospital privileges.
  • Perform and interpret coronary angiography and appropriate catheter-based diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including angioplasty and stent placement, as appropriately credentialed.
  • Assess and manage patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes and other urgent cardiovascular conditions.
  • Conduct pre-procedure evaluation, risk assessment, patient counseling, and informed consent.
  • Provide post-procedure monitoring and manage potential complications.
  • Interpret ECGs, echocardiography, stress testing, cardiac imaging, and other relevant investigations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic results, current evidence, and patient preferences.
  • Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, emergency physicians, and other specialists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary heart-team discussions for complex coronary and structural heart cases.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding cardiovascular disease, treatment options, medications, lifestyle modification, and prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, including consultation notes, procedure reports, and follow-up documentation.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuing medical education.
  • Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection-control standards, radiation-safety requirements, and patient-safety protocols.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiology with appropriate training/fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Relevant specialist and interventional cardiology experience.
  • Valid DHA Specialist license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain a professional license for practice in Dubai.
  • Meets the applicable UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) for the relevant Specialist title.
  • Current professional registration and relevant Good Standing documentation, where applicable.
  • Appropriate hospital privileges and credentials for interventional procedures.
