We're Hiring | Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon

📍 Location: Abu Dhabi

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join our healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and disorders affecting the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and surgical expertise, excellent patient communication skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive orthopedic consultations, physical examinations, and clinical assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Evaluate and treat sports injuries, fractures, joint disorders, arthritis, ligament and tendon injuries, and degenerative orthopedic conditions.
  • Review and interpret X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, and other relevant diagnostic investigations.
  • Develop individualized medical, rehabilitative, and surgical treatment plans.
  • Perform orthopedic surgical procedures within the physician's licensed scope, clinical competency, and hospital privileges.
  • Provide pre-operative assessment, surgical counseling, risk evaluation, and informed consent.
  • Perform appropriate surgical and non-surgical interventions based on patient needs.
  • Provide comprehensive post-operative care and monitor recovery and potential complications.
  • Coordinate rehabilitation and follow-up care with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pain specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide appropriate conservative treatments, including medication, injections, immobilization, and rehabilitation where indicated.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, recovery, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records, including consultation notes, operative reports, and follow-up documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality-improvement programs, and continuing medical education.
  • Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery / Orthopedics or equivalent specialty qualification.
  • Relevant specialist clinical and surgical experience.
  • Valid DHA Specialist license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain a professional license for practice in Dubai.
  • Meets the applicable UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) for the Specialist title.
  • Current professional registration and relevant Good Standing documentation, where applicable.
  • Appropriate surgical credentials and hospital privileges for procedures performed.
