The posting

FullScale is a national nonprofit committed to transforming public education by helping leaders and communities scale innovative, equitable learning models. We support the field by building and sharing tools, practices, and learning networks that break silos and accelerate change. Through our digital resources, convenings, and collaborations, we bring together people and ideas that make real progress possible.

Position Overview

The Product Specialist serves as the operational backbone of the Product Team, ensuring FullScale's research, tools, resources, and learning experiences move efficiently from product strategy through production, launch, and dissemination. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role coordinates project timelines, manages operational workflows, supports stakeholder communication, and keeps complex initiatives organized and on track.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys creating order from complexity, proactively solves problems, and finds satisfaction in helping ambitious ideas become reality. Most importantly, this person will enable the Chief Product Officer to focus on product strategy, partnerships, innovation, and designing transformational learning experiences by ensuring operational excellence across the Product Team.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development Operations

  • Partner with the Chief Product Officer to coordinate the product development lifecycle from concept through launch.
  • Support the coordination of project plans that move research, resources, and learning experiences from the Programs Team through product development, production, and dissemination.
  • Coordinate timelines, dependencies, approvals, and deliverables across Product, Programs, Design, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Coordinate product development workflows, track milestones, and proactively communicate risks to support on-time delivery.
  • Maintain project trackers, documentation, meeting notes, and operational systems.

Product Production & Launch Coordination

  • Manage and maintain production timelines for product resources including playbooks, toolkits, implementation guides, reports, digital resources, webpages, and participant materials.
  • Work closely with the designer to ensure assets move efficiently through design, review, revision, and production.
  • Track product readiness from initial concept through public release.

Stakeholder Coordination & Product Dissemination

  • Coordinate dissemination activities as set by CPO for newly released products and learning experiences.
  • Draft partner outreach emails and coordinate logistical communications supporting dissemination efforts.
  • Organize and prepare product content, key messages, and supporting materials for handoff to the Communications team to develop newsletters, social media, website content, and other marketing assets.
  • Develop and coordinate dissemination timelines across Product, Communications, Programs, and external dissemination partners.
  • Track dissemination milestones, stakeholder engagement, and launch readiness to support successful product adoption.

Symposium Experience Operations

  • Support operational planning and execution for the FullScale Symposium, ensuring all learning experiences, presenters, and resources are delivered successfully.
  • Manage presenter RFP, support content selection and onboarding, including collecting bios, headshots, presentation materials, and required forms.
  • Coordinate content schedules, logistics, participant communications, and planning documents - including providing run-of-show materials, facilitator resources, participant materials, and operational documentation for presenters.
  • Support on-site event content to ensure a seamless experience for presenters, partners, and attendees.
  • Track implementation milestones and ensure every deliverable is completed accurately and on time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with the Chief Product Officer and other team leads to support alignment across product development, programmatic implementation, and communications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal systems for documentation, dissemination, project management, archiving, and knowledge management.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, improve productivity and operational efficiency, and strengthen team operations.

Requirements

Who You Are

  • Committed to FullScale’s mission and values. You are personally excited about FullScale’s work. You thrive in an environment that values impact, bold accountability, continuous learning, joyful work, collective action, and – above all – putting kids first.
  • You thrive in ambiguity. You enjoy building systems where they don't yet exist and are energized by bringing clarity, organization, and momentum to new ideas. You're comfortable navigating evolving priorities and helping teams move from concept to execution.
  • You're an exceptional project manager. You naturally create order from complexity, manage multiple priorities with ease, and keep projects moving forward. You have a knack for anticipating what's needed next and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • You take ownership. You don't wait to be asked. You proactively identify opportunities, solve problems, follow through on commitments, and take pride in helping the team succeed. When you see a gap, you step in.
  • You're energized by helping others succeed. You find satisfaction in creating the systems, coordination, and operational excellence that allow teammates to focus on their highest-impact work. You understand that behind every exceptional learning experience is someone who made all the details come together.
  • You're technology-forward and curious. You enjoy learning new tools and finding smarter ways to work. You're comfortable leveraging AI and digital technologies to streamline workflows, improve productivity, organize information, and support operational excellence. Rather than simply following existing processes, you're always looking for ways to make them better.
  • You're highly collaborative. You enjoy working across teams and building strong relationships. You understand how to coordinate work across different functions while helping people stay aligned, informed, and moving toward a common goal.
  • You're passionate about improving education. You believe in FullScale's mission and are excited to support educators, school systems, and communities working to create more student-centered learning experiences.
  • Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. You are self-reflective about your own growth and learning, relative privilege, identity, and power. You believe that diversity makes us better and that inclusivity is an active and intentional pursuit. You model these beliefs in your actions and words.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in project management, operations, product operations, event coordination, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated comfort and skill working in virtual environments with remote team members and partners
  • Experience supporting complex initiatives within education, nonprofits, or other mission-driven organizations is preferred.

During Symposium, our team is all hands on deck supporting the event, so there will be limited activity related to this search, including application review and candidate communications.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
