The Senior Document Controller plays a critical role in ensuring that engineering and project documentation is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational and industry standards. This role supports the seamless execution of projects by maintaining structured documentation processes and serving as a key point of coordination across teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Manage multiple project documents, including preparing transmittals, receiving vendor and customer documentation, and ensuring timely internal distribution.
• Track and monitor project documentation using document management systems, generating reports on document status and overdue items.
• Develop and maintain templates, style sheets, and format standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Support document numbering and naming conventions in line with established standards. Manage document revisions and deliverable status using tools such as Documentum. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to expedite documentation in line with project schedules.
• Maintain organized storage and control of vendor documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project documentation-related queries and support. Compile Manufacturing Record Books and ensure completeness of project deliverables. Arrange shipment of hard copy documents where required.
• Provide regular updates on documentation status and ensure on-time delivery to stakeholders. Lead document closure activities, including archiving and cleanup of project folders post completion.
Must-have skills
Familiarity with project management principles, Experience working with tools such as Documentum, proficiency in document management system
Good-to-have skills
Experience handling project escalations and participating in audits, manage and oversee structured documentation processes, Flexibility to adapt to project timelines and changing priorities.
