The posting

The Schultz Report is a weekly NFL and sports podcast hosted by NFL insider Jordan Schultz presented by Fanatics Sports & Casino. Every week Jordan hosts exclusive interviews with the biggest players and analysts around football, and Super Bowl champion Keyshawn Johnson joins to react to the biggest games and storylines across the NFL and college football.

Rain Delay is seeking a Studio Producer to be the boots-on-the-ground production and technical presence for The Schultz Report at host Jordan Schultz’s studio in Ridgefield, Connecticut. You’ll set up and run recordings, solve technical problems in real time, keep shoots on schedule, and serve as a trusted partner to the host. You are the physical extension of the show’s producers and A/V build partners. As the show’s studio footprint grows beyond a remote setup, this role is built to grow with it, with a path toward managing and running a dedicated state-of-the-art, full studio facility.

THE DETAILS:

  • Classification: Part-time
  • Rate: $60-$80/hour
  • Hours: 16-24 hrs/week
  • Schedule: Mondays & Thursdays
  • Manager: Sr. Producer & Editor
  • Start Date: Immediate

ABOUT RAIN DELAY:

Rain Delay Media is an award-winning production company powering sports' biggest athletes and creators across YouTube, podcasts and social media, including Road Trippin' with Richard Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins & Channing Frye, The Schultz Report with Jordan Schultz & Keyshawn Johnson, and Club 30 with Henrik Lundqvist.

Responsibilities

On-Site Studio & Technical Operations

  • Be on-site at the Ridgefield, CT studio every Monday and Thursday (mornings), and available for additional on-call recordings and appearances as the schedule requires.
  • Set up, operate, and break down the remote studio recording kit before and after each session.
  • Set up and run remote guest recordings and call-ins (e.g., Riverside), ensuring clean audio/video capture for remote participants.
  • Run a pre-show checklist and QC pass, manage firmware/software updates, cabling, and signal integrity so every recording starts on time and runs clean.
  • Maintain gear inventory, spares, and consumables; track needs and flag equipment upgrades or additions.
  • Maintain the studio's setup/shutdown documentation and standard workflows, keeping the system repeatable and transferable.
  • Ensure raw files are properly recorded, labeled, backed up, and routed to the editing team after each session.

Studio Operations & Growth

  • Help steward the studio as its anchor on-site operator — keeping the space organized, functional, and recording-ready.
  • Partner with our technical build partner on upgrades and the future studio buildout, contributing to scoping and setup.
  • Grow into running live and recorded sessions end to end — multi-camera operation and switching, audio routing and levels, lighting, and live streaming.
  • Grow into running studio operations end to end — managing the facility, its systems, scheduling, vendors, budget, and any additional crew as the studio scales.

Talent Partnership

  • Capture high-quality photo and video on set — thumbnail-grade portraits of the host and behind-the-scenes content. BTS is a genuine priority for the talent, so a strong eye for a still and a good moment is a real part of this role.
  • Build a trusted, dependable, professional relationship with the host over time, becoming a reliable on-site point of contact.
  • Serve as the on-set memory — actively capture the host’s in-the-moment notes, asks, and off-hand comments, and reliably relay and follow up so nothing important slips through.
  • Grow into a talent-producer role — anticipating needs, smoothing the recording experience, and strengthening the day-to-day partnership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years running live or recorded studio/broadcast productions (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Based within reliable commuting distance of Ridgefield, CT, and available on-site Mondays and Thursdays, plus on-call.
  • Hands-on proficiency with studio production tools — cameras (mirrorless/cinema), audio interfaces and mics, lighting, capture cards, multi-cam switchers (ATEM/Blackmagic, vMix, or OBS), Stream Deck/automation, and remote-recording platforms (Riverside or similar) — with the confidence to troubleshoot live.
  • Networking/IT basics — IP, routers/switches, and bandwidth troubleshooting for streaming and remote recording.
  • Experience building, maintaining, or managing a studio or production space.
  • Able to lift and move production equipment.
  • Strong photography/videography skills — able to capture thumbnail-quality stills and compelling behind-the-scenes content on set.
  • Diligent, detail-obsessed note-taker who captures important details in real time and follows through reliably.
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable working directly with on-camera talent.
  • Calm, resourceful problem-solver who can fix things in the moment and keep a shoot on track.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; self-directed in a small-team environment.
  • Genuine interest in sports media, podcasts, and content production.
  • Strong interest in the NFL and sports media.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
