About Prevail Partners

Prevail Partners is a leading British intelligence, security and operational support company. We help governments, NGOs and commercial organisations operate safely and effectively in some of the world's most complex environments by combining intelligence, technology and operational expertise. Our teams deliver actionable insight that helps clients manage risk, make informed decisions and achieve meaningful operational impact where it matters most.

Our shared mission is to deliver unrelenting excellence in everything we do, underpinned by integrity, curiosity, accountability and care.

About the Role

We are seeking exceptional Surveillance Officers to join our growing protective security team, supporting an Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) client as part of a specialist protective security programme. This is not a traditional Close Protection role. We are looking for highly capable surveillance professionals who can discreetly identify, monitor and assess potential threats, while gathering intelligence to support informed operational decision-making. Working as part of a wider protective security team, you will plan and conduct covert surveillance operations, identify hostile reconnaissance and suspicious activity, and contribute to the protection of people, property and reputations. Success in this role requires professionalism, discretion, sound judgement and an unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of service.

The role may require travel throughout the UK, together with occasional overseas deployments and overnight stays, depending on operational requirements. While candidates may be based anywhere in the UK, successful applicants must be able to travel and deploy at short notice when required. Given the responsive nature of the role, a high degree of flexibility, professionalism and operational readiness is essential, and candidates should not have competing commitments that could affect their availability to support operational demands.

Beyond operational experience, we are seeking individuals who are patient, disciplined and methodical in their approach, with the maturity and self-awareness to operate effectively in demanding environments. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while remaining a valued and collaborative member of a wider team, consistently demonstrating integrity, reliability and a strong sense of personal accountability. Above all, they will share our commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of service and contributing to a culture of excellence across the protective security function

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct covert foot and mobile surveillance operations.
  • Deliver protective surveillance in support of client movements, residences and planned activities.
  • Identify hostile reconnaissance, suspicious behaviour and persons of concern.
  • Plan, prepare and execute surveillance deployments in both urban and rural environments.
  • Gather, record and accurately report intelligence and operational observations.
  • Maintain constant situational awareness whilst operating discreetly and professionally.
  • Liaise effectively with Close Protection Officers, Residential Security Teams and wider protective security personnel.
  • Utilise surveillance techniques to support threat assessments and operational planning.
  • Produce clear, concise and accurate written reports following deployments.
  • Operate within legal, ethical and client confidentiality requirements at all times.
  • Maintain surveillance equipment and ensure operational readiness.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discretion and personal conduct.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Extensive operational surveillance experience within the UK.
  • Proven experience conducting covert surveillance in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
  • Excellent observational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of hostile reconnaissance and behavioural detection.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working as part of a professional multidisciplinary security team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable and decisive under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas when required.
  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • SIA Close Protection Licence.
  • Former UK Police Surveillance Units.
  • UK Intelligence Community experience.
  • UK Special Forces or specialist military surveillance background.
  • Government surveillance or intelligence roles.
  • Experience supporting executive protection or protective surveillance operations.
  • Advanced surveillance qualifications or specialist surveillance training.
  • First Aid qualification.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive day rate, consultants engaged on this project will benefit from a range of deployment-related support and amenities, including:

  • High-quality accommodation provided throughout the deployment period.
  • Access to excellent on-site facilities, including a fully equipped gym and recreational spaces.
  • Daily meals prepared by a private chef, ensuring a varied and nutritious dining experience.
  • The opportunity to work alongside highly experienced professionals in a unique and rewarding operational environment.
  • Exposure to complex projects and clients, providing valuable professional development and experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
