The posting

Work abroad. Learn the airline industry. Build experience you can take with you.

Want to spend a year abroad, but also gain experience that could open doors within airlines, travel and tourism?

We're looking for Swedish speakers to join an international airline customer support team in Athens, Greece.

You'll work with flight reservations, ticket changes and passenger support – while learning how customer operations work behind the scenes in the airline industry.

What You'll Do

You'll support passengers, travel agencies and corporate customers with their journeys.

Your daily work will include:

  • Helping customers book and manage flights
  • Changing existing reservations
  • Supporting passengers with cancellations and refunds
  • Explaining ticket rules, fares and policies
  • Providing travel and flight information
  • Supporting travel agencies and corporate partners
  • Resolving booking-related customer issues
  • Delivering customer service for a major international airline

Learn Amadeus & Airline Reservations

One of the most valuable parts of this role is the experience you'll gain with airline reservation systems, including Amadeus.

You'll learn more about:

  • Amadeus
  • Airline reservation systems
  • Flight bookings and ticketing
  • Fare rules and ticket conditions
  • Reservation changes and cancellations
  • Passenger support
  • Airline customer operations

You don't need to know all of this before you start – training is provided.

Where Could This Experience Take You?

Maybe you're simply looking for a gap year abroad.

But this role can also give you practical experience that could be relevant if you later want to explore opportunities within:

  • Airlines
  • Travel agencies
  • Tour operators
  • Business travel
  • Hotels and hospitality
  • Travel technology
  • Customer experience
  • International tourism

So even if Athens is only one chapter, you'll leave with more than memories from Greece.

You'll have international experience and practical knowledge of the travel industry on your CV.

Requirements

You:

  • Speak Swedish fluently
  • Have a good level of English
  • Enjoy helping people and solving problems
  • Are comfortable learning new systems
  • Are organised and service-minded
  • Are interested in travel, aviation or international work
  • Are ready to live and work in Athens

Previous customer service, travel or hospitality experience is an advantage, but not essential.

Benefits

Your relocation package includes:

  • Flight to Athens covered
  • 2 weeks of hotel accommodation upon arrival
  • Support finding permanent accommodation
  • Help with paperwork and settling in
  • Competitive salary
  • 2 extra salaries per year
  • Full paid training
  • Healthcare benefits
  • International career development opportunities
  • Modern international office environment

Build Your CV in Athens

You don't have to choose between taking a year abroad and doing something useful for your career.

Spend your time in Athens learning the airline industry, working with international customers and gaining experience with systems such as Amadeus.

And when work finishes?

You're still living in Greece.

Beaches, rooftop bars, Mediterranean evenings and weekend island trips are all part of the deal.

Come for Athens. Leave with airline experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
