ProSync is seeking a Systems Engineer responsible for documenting all phases of system design, implementation, deployment, and sustainment for new and upgraded systems delivered to FS sites. This role requires deep technical breadth across communications technologies, virtualization, systems architecture, and SIGINT‑related IT platforms. The engineer will produce detailed engineering documentation, support system and network integration activities, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams. The ideal candidate brings strong system and network administration skills, experience with Cisco networking, and proficiency in creating and interpreting engineering drawings while supporting mission‑critical deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • System Design Documentation — Document all phases of system design, implementation, and maintenance, including Preliminary Design Reviews, Mission Transition Plans, and deployment artifacts.
  • Communications & Virtualization Support — Apply deep understanding of communications technologies, virtualization platforms, and systems architecture to support new system deployments and upgrades.
  • Engineering Drawing Development — Design, interpret, and modify system and network engineering drawings using Visio, Adobe, and related tools.
  • System & Network Administration — Provide expert administration across Linux and Windows platforms, ensuring system stability, performance, and security.
  • Integration & Deployment — Support integration of network and data processing systems, including hardware/software configuration, rack‑and‑stack installation, cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Cisco Networking Support — Work with Cisco routers, switches, and security protocols to support system deployments and sustainment.
  • Cloud Concepts & Best Practices — Apply understanding of cloud computing concepts to system design, modernization, and deployment planning.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams using Jira and Confluence for planning, documentation, and workflow management.
  • Technical Documentation — Create detailed system documentation, deployment guides, and sustainment materials to support operational readiness.
  • Office Productivity Tools — Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint to produce professional documentation and support team communication.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of experience in system engineering (OR) An Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general system engineering experience (OR) A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience (OR) A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eleven (11) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Deep understanding of multiple communications technologies, virtualization, systems architecture, and infrastructure for IT systems and SIGINT platforms.
  • Proficient in designing, interpreting, and modifying System and Network Engineering Drawings (Visio, Adobe)
  • Expertise in system and network administration across diverse platforms, including Linux and Windows environments.
  • Extensive experience in network and data processing system integration, hardware and software configuration, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Understanding/experience in Cisco networking, including routers, switches, and security protocols.
  • Skilled in network and data processing system integration, including rack and stack installation, cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and best practices.
  • The ability to create detailed system documentation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (JIRA and Confluence).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and SharePoint.
  • A Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required.
