The posting

SUMMARY

Support tiered service delivery, data pipeline stability, and server administration for Department of the Navy (DON) enterprise analytics systems. Coordinate the ingestion, conversion, and optimization of legacy data models transitioning into Tableau within the Jupiter environment. Align server configurations, user access control, and workbook performance with DoD cybersecurity mandates and enterprise uptime standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Act as the primary escalation checkpoint for resolving system access issues, dashboard performance bottlenecks, and publishing errors in the secure Jupiter environment.

· Manage Tableau Server/Cloud site topology, monitoring backgrounder processes, refreshing data extracts, and configuring user permissions.

· Investigate and resolve anomalies, schema drift, and data type discrepancies that occur when legacy database streams are converted for consumption in Tableau.

· Conduct regular server system maintenance tasks (backups, transaction log purges, memory/RAM optimization) to minimize downtime across readiness dashboards.

· Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) targets by implementing DISA STIGs, mitigating vulnerabilities flagged by ACAS/Tenable scans, and managing secure Active Directory objects.

· Maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), system topologies, data mapping dictionaries, and infrastructure change logs.

· Recommend improvements to support cross-system interoperability (Databricks, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) in Jupiter/Advana.

· Troubleshoot complex multi-tier issues involving application workflows to reflect current capabilities, data structures, and user access requirements.

· Conduct regular server system maintenance tasks (backups, transaction log purges, memory/RAM optimization) to minimize downtime across readiness dashboards.

· Develop and maintain system-level documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles to assist end users.

· Use or manage role-based access controls supporting FTM/FLTMPS user workflows and training access requirements.

· Work closely with the Government and the LS Training Execution Contractor/vendor to ensure that all database and system workflows included in training materials reflect current capabilities and user access requirements.

· Provide technical input for updates to training materials, helping instructional personnel maintain alignment with system enhancements, performance upgrades, and new FTM features.

· Prepare system environments prior to demonstration events to ensure correct data availability, account provisioning for demonstrations.

· Support technical reports and briefings for Government leadership, detailing system issues, data quality, risks, and end user access.

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

· Four (4) to six (6) years of hands-on experience administering virtualized enterprise environments.

· Proven administrative experience with Tableau Server/Cloud (extract scheduling, site administration) and modern cloud data environments.

· Must meet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT II or higher (Security+, CySA+, CASP+, etc.).

· Active DoD Secret security clearance (generally, U.S. citizenship required).

· Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Strong written and verbal technical communication skills to relay issues and resolutions to non-technical Navy stakeholders.

· Experience supporting Department of War or comparable federal agency or systems.

· Experience supporting tiered service delivery, systems administration, and Tableau.

· Experience with FTM data integration, workflows, and Navy enterprise standards.

· Experience supporting training materials development or technical demonstrations is highly desirable.

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

  • Pay: $90,000-$100,000
