McColm & Company (McColm) is a mission-driven and customer-focused professional services firm that equips change makers with the knowledge, skills, and insights they need to succeed in an increasingly complex world. McColm specializes in supporting U.S. federal customers with human services, foreign affairs, national security, and emergency response-focused portfolios by managing bespoke professional training programs, delivering effective capacity building solutions, and providing highly specialized technical assistance and analysis expertise to decision makers.

McColm’s Justice and Resilience Practice supports clients working to prevent human trafficking and improve outcomes for people who have experienced it. We are building a pool of experienced professionals to staff current and future projects that help federal agencies, industry partners, health care, behavioral health, social services, child welfare, education, and community professionals recognize and respond to labor and sex trafficking. This work includes delivery of technical assistance, in-person and virtual training, in-depth capacity-building assistance, online learning, research and evaluation, and support for community-led anti-trafficking initiatives.

We are seeking candidates at all career levels, from senior program leaders to specialists and on-call consultants.

Joining the pool does not guarantee an engagement. When a current or upcoming project matches your expertise, a member of our team will contact you to discuss the role, level of effort, and availability.

Individuals with lived experience of human trafficking are encouraged to submit a resume for any role. Lived experience is valued and may be considered in place of some formal education or professional experience.

In your application, please indicate the type(s) of role you are interested in, your areas of expertise, and whether you are seeking full-time, part-time, or consulting work.

Duties vary by project and role. Depending on the engagement, they may include:

Project leadership

  • Lead project delivery and serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Oversee project planning, reporting, quality control, and staff
  • Recruit, vet, and manage subject matter expert consultants, including consultants with lived experience
  • Facilitate high-level meetings and convenings with diverse stakeholders

Training and technical assistance

  • Respond to requests from the field and design tailored assistance
  • Deliver short-format sessions and in-depth, customized capacity-building assistance
  • Provide logistical and content support for trainings, conferences, meetings, and peer reviews
  • Develop and carry out outreach strategies to promote available services

Research and evaluation

  • Design and administer surveys and pre- and post-tests, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data
  • Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans, and write reports and publications
  • Measure program reach and impact and recommend improvements

Instructional design

  • Identify learning needs and design in-person, online, and blended learning
  • Develop instructor guides and learning assessments
  • Build and maintain courses on online learning platforms

Public health and prevention

  • Apply public health and violence prevention approaches to project activities
  • Support operational planning, continuous quality improvement, and impact measurement

Subject Matter Expert consultants

  • Deliver training and coaching in your area of expertise
  • Review, develop, or adapt training materials and resources
  • Serve as peer reviewers and contribute to listening sessions and convenings

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
