About Hytech

Hytech is a leading management consulting firm headquartered in Australia and Singapore, specialising in digital transformation for fintech and financial services organisations. The company delivers end-to-end consulting services and robust middle- and back-office solutions, enabling clients to optimise operations, enhance efficiency, and stay ahead in a fast-evolving digital landscape. Hytech’s client portfolio includes top global trading platforms and leading crypto exchanges.

With a team of more than 2,000 professionals worldwide, Hytech has a strong and growing international presence, with offices across Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Morocco, Cyprus, Dubai, and beyond.

The Anti-Fraud Investigation team at Hytech builds mission-critical infrastructure to protect the company’s CFD brokerage from financial crime and sophisticated fraud. The team is responsible for designing and owning the entire back-office investigation ecosystem—a high-load suite of tools that enables investigators to dissect complex trading patterns, payment flows, and client behaviours in real-time. The team operates with high ownership, embraces AI tooling, and sits at the core of the company’s safety, bridging the gap between Business Owners, Backend Engineering, and Data.

The Opportunity

- Own the Feature Lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex investigation features, from initial business discovery with stakeholders to final technical rollout. - Design Seamless Client Journeys: Define and design end-to-end client and user journeys across the platform, ensuring flows are intuitive, uninterrupted, and optimised for investigation efficiency, while minimising friction for users. - Own Problem Discovery, Not Just Delivery: Proactively identify user pain points, inefficiencies, and hidden risks within workflows, and propose data-driven solutions to improve both user experience and business outcomes. - Translate Business into Scalable Systems: Balance business and system thinking, translating high-level business intent into end-to-end flows and developer-ready specifications, including OpenAPI (Swagger) specs, JSON Schemas, and UML Sequence Diagrams. - Architect Technical Solutions: Design logic, define service responsibilities, map out data flows, and design RESTful integrations and Kafka message structures. - Engineer Data Structures: Collaborate with developers to design PostgreSQL database schemas for microservices. - Drive Data Engineering Requirements: Act as the primary technical partner for the Data Engineering team, defining requirements for ClickHouse tables and cloud storage logic to ensure the availability of relevant client, payment, and trading data for investigations. - Executive Storytelling: Present technical designs and feature results to Company Owners and C-level stakeholders, distilling complex system logic into clear, persuasive, and professional narratives.

Technical Arsenal You Should Bring

- 5+ years of Technical BSA experience in a high-intensity environment (FinTech, Trading, or high-scale E-commerce). - Deep System Design Skills: Proven ability to design integrations (synchronous and asynchronous) and describe them via OpenAPI and Sequence Diagrams. - SQL & Database Fluency: Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, with an understanding of how to structure relational data and a conceptual grasp of OLTP vs. OLAP (knowing when to pull from the service DB vs. the ClickHouse cloud). - Communication Mastery: Executive-level verbal clarity, with the ability to command a room, explain technical trade-offs to owners, and present with professional poise. - Language: Advanced English (C1 preferred) is mandatory, with comfort in leading high-stakes meetings in English. - Self-Starter Mindset: Ability to thrive in intensive environments, proactively identifying system gaps and proposing solutions.

Nice to Haves

- Direct experience in Anti-Fraud or Risk Management systems. - Experience in the CFD/Forex or Crypto brokerage space. - Hands-on experience with Power BI for executive-level data visualisation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
