The Specialist Neonatologist is responsible for providing specialized medical care to newborn infants, including premature, low-birth-weight, critically ill, and high-risk neonates. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, treatment, and ongoing management of neonates in the NICU, delivery room, postnatal wards, and other designated clinical areas.
The physician will provide evidence-based, family-centered neonatal care while maintaining high standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and compliance with applicable UAE healthcare regulations.
Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics and/or Neonatology.
Relevant fellowship or subspecialty qualification in Neonatology is preferred.
Qualification must be recognized by the relevant UAE health authority.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred or required according to facility policy.
Current BLS certification; additional pediatric or critical care certifications may be required.
