Overview

Dane Street is seeking experienced Board-Certified Toxicologists to join our growing team of expert clinical reviewers. In this role, you will apply your specialized toxicology expertise to conduct comprehensive reviews of clinical cases and provide objective, evidence-based medical advisory opinions.

This is a fully remote opportunity that allows you to customize your schedule while working as a 1099 independent contractor. The position is intended for physicians residing in Texas with appropriate Texas medical licensure.

Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing medical records, laboratory results, medication and substance exposure histories, toxicology reports, and relevant clinical documentation; preparing clear and concise clinical summaries; and responding to specific questions from clients related to toxicologic findings, diagnoses, treatment, causation, and medical care.

This role involves advisory medical record reviews only and does not involve peer-to-peer discussions, calls, or direct patient care.

Areas of Expertise

  • Emergency and acute-care toxicology
  • Substance-related medical conditions
  • Review of toxicology reports, laboratory results, medication records, and clinical documentation
  • Assessment of the medical necessity and appropriateness of toxicology-related evaluation and treatment
  • Evidence-based assessment of toxicologic diagnoses, treatment, and outcomes
  • Review of causation and clinical relationships related to toxic exposures, when applicable

Join a team that values your clinical judgment and commitment to improving the quality, accuracy, and consistency of healthcare assessments. Your expertise plays a vital role in supporting high-quality, objective, and defensible medical determinations.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification in Medical Toxicology or appropriate board certification with significant experience and expertise in toxicology
  • Current, unrestricted Texas medical license
  • Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience in toxicology or a related clinical specialty
  • Ability to attend all required orientation and training sessions
  • Maintains appropriate credentialing, state licensure, board certification, and any other certifications required to perform the role

Benefits

  • Independent consultant role offering schedule flexibility and predictable work hours
  • Ability to choose case types and workload based on your availability
  • No peer-to-peer calls or discussions
  • No physician–patient relationship established; no treatment is provided — all reviews are advisory only
  • Streamlined case flow through a user-friendly online work portal

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
