The posting

Salary: £40,000–£42,000

Location: Hybrid / Field-Based

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Travel: Travel to assigned Banana Moon nurseries, with mileage reimbursed in line with company policy

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is looking for an Early Years Training & Development Officer to create and deliver practical, engaging learning across our growing nursery network. You will work with Nursery Managers, franchisees and nursery teams to turn operational needs, Early Years best practice and compliance insights into learning that makes a difference. Delivery will be a blend of virtual training, group learning and onsite coaching, so you’ll need to be equally confident facilitating a session online and supporting a team within a nursery.

There will also be occasional travel to the Banana Moon Franchise Support Office in Warwick and, periodically, other locations across the network. Some overnight stays may be required.

  • Design and deliver engaging face-to-face, virtual and onsite training for nursery teams.
  • Turn identified development needs, compliance themes and operational trends into practical learning solutions.
  • Support the delivery and continued development of the Banana Moon Early Learning Development Programme, curriculum initiatives and future learning frameworks.
  • Lead induction and onboarding support for new Nursery Managers in partnership with franchisees.
  • Coach Nursery Managers and teams to strengthen capability, confidence and Early Years practice.
  • Develop practical training materials, guides, resources and learning tools.
  • Monitor participation and effectiveness and provide follow-up coaching where additional support is needed.
  • Partner with the Compliance team to address recurring development needs and support inspection readiness.
  • Stay current with EYFS requirements, regulatory expectations and adult learning best practice.

Requirements

  • L3 or above in an approved Early Years qualification
  • Strong current knowledge of Early Years Regulatory Expectations.
  • Experience delivering both face to face and virtual learning.
  • Confidence in coaching, mentoring and providing constructive feedback to nursery owners and managers.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex information into practical easy to use learning.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Long distance travel and monthly overnight stays.
  • Experience in leadership and management to develop structured learning programmes or supporting nursery improvement and inspection readiness.

Preference:

  • A recognised adult learning, teaching or training qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), or equivalent.

You’ll join a growing Early Years organisation where learning and development has a direct impact on the quality of practice across our nursery network. If you’re an Early Years professional with proven training experience and the qualifications to deliver high-quality adult learning, we’d love to hear from you.

  • £40,000–£42,000 salary
  • 38 days as part of Annual leave program inclusive of Bank Holidays and Wellbeing days
  • Car allowance included as part of role

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
