Job Description

The Trim Room Specialist plays an essential role in our post harvest operations, ensuring cannabis flower is efficiently and accurately trimmed into a high-quality product that is ready for packaging, sale, or further processing.

In this role, you will efficiently trim cannabis flower while minimizing waste and maintaining product quality and compliance. You will also follow post-harvest procedures while helping maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment. This is an entry level position, and previous cannabis experience is not required. However, attention to detail, the ability to follow directions, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Hand trim cannabis flower quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including post-trim cleanup.
  • Track unusable waste and usable by-products for each plant or batch.
  • Operate manual equipment, including metal carts and portable transport platforms, in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Operate small equipment such as sorting, trimming, and rendering machines.
  • Accurately perform basic weights, measurements, and operate scales.
  • Follow all post-harvest procedures, quality standards, and company policies, including state and local regulations, security protocols, access procedures, dress code, and attendance requirements.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Basic understanding of weights and measurements.
  • Ability to remain focused and perform repetitive, detail-oriented tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with legal cannabis growing, cultivation, or trimming.
  • Experience operating production or processing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated production industries.

Physical Requirements

  • Must have sufficient close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception to safely and accurately perform job duties.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs
  • Must have full dexterity and range of motion in the hands and fingers for precise handling of materials.

Division of Cannabis Control Requirements:

  • Must be 21+
  • No felonies
  • No drug trafficking charges
