About the Role

We take pride in the ground we work in – competent rock, a strong safety culture and a modern Sandvik fleet that sets you up for success. You’ll find a supportive team environment with real pathways for development, working in technically challenging conditions that build depth in your skills and exposure to precision underground mining.

As we build toward 2.2 million tonnes per annum, efficient load and haul performance is central to achieving production targets. Our Bogger Operators are critical to keeping headings clean, stopes productive and ore moving safely to surface.

Operating modern Sandvik LHDs equipped with RTC systems, you’ll work across development and production areas, maintaining steady material movement and supporting cycle time optimisation.

This is a role for operators who understand production flow and take ownership of tonnes moved safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tele-remote Sandvik loaders safely and efficiently within underground production areas
  • Bog production stopes and transfer material to stope stockpiles and ore passes
  • Load underground haul trucks in accordance with production requirements
  • Maintain underground roadways and working areas to site standards
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment defects or maintenance requirements
  • Comply with site procedures, safety standards and legislative requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Truck Operators and Mine Control to achieve production targets
  • Contribute to a safe, productive and positive underground team culture

Requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experienced in operating underground boggers (LHDs) equipped with Remote Tele-Remote Control (RTC) systems
  • Experienced operating Sandvik LH514 and LH517 loaders in underground mining environments
  • Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively within underground production environments
  • Current WA C-Class Driver's Licence
  • Current Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
  • National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)

Benefits

Why Catalyst?

FIFO isn’t for everyone — it requires commitment and time away from home. That’s why we place strong emphasis on creating a supportive team culture, approachable leadership and an environment where people work hard, back each other in, and still find time to have a laugh and enjoy what site has to offer.

We offer:

  • 8:6 / 7:7 roster promoting genuine work-life balance
  • Health insurance eligibility
  • Salary sacrifice options including novated lease, airport car parking and more
  • Short commute from camp to site with own private room
  • Fully equipped gym, swimming pool, multipurpose sports court and more
  • Exposure to a growing and expanding underground operation
  • Opportunity to contribute beyond your core role and influence how we operate
  • Supportive and collaborative site leadership team
  • Ongoing development and internal progression opportunities

This role offers genuine development potential for someone looking to build their career within a growing Australian mining business.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you. Applications are currently being accepted, so apply now.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
