About the Role

With more than 15 years of mine life ahead of us, there’s never been a better time to join our underground team. We take pride in the ground we work in – competent rock, a strong safety culture and a modern Sandvik fleet that sets you up for success.

Whether you’re breaking into the industry or bringing years of experience, you’ll find a supportive team environment with real pathways for development. Our current remnant mining presents technically challenging work that will sharpen your skills, build depth in your capability and expose you to precision mining practices.

As we grow across the belt, our satellite operations are creating opportunities for exposure to different ore bodies and mining environments, including upcoming narrow vein and paste-fill operations. This provides variety in your day-to-day work and the chance to broaden your underground capability across multiple styles of mining.

With that growth also comes the opportunity to step up – sharing your knowledge, mentoring newer operators and helping build strong crews as our operations expand.

Backed by long-term job security and genuine progression pathways, this is a place where you can build a sustainable underground career while continuing to develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

As an experienced Underground Truck Operator, you'll play an important role in supporting safe and productive gold mining operations across our growing underground business. Working with experienced crews and operating a modern Sandvik fleet, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient haulage of ore and waste while contributing to the delivery of production targets.

This opportunity offers genuine variety. You may work within our established underground operation or across our developing satellite deposits, gaining exposure to different mining environments and becoming part of a team committed to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

As Catalyst continues to grow, you'll be joining an Australian gold producer offering long-term job security, career development opportunities and the chance to contribute to the future success of our underground operations.

  • Operate Sandvik underground haul trucks safely and efficiently
  • Haul ore and waste in accordance with mine plans and production schedules
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment faults
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workplace safety
  • Follow site procedures and legislative requirements
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Bogger Operators and Mine Control
  • Contribute to safe, productive and efficient underground operations
  • Support a positive team culture and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
  • Current WA C-Class Driver's Licence

Benefits

Why Catalyst?

FIFO isn’t for everyone — it requires commitment and time away from home. That’s why we place strong emphasis on creating a supportive team culture, approachable leadership and an environment where people work hard, back each other in, and still find time to have a laugh and enjoy what site has to offer.

We offer:

  • 8:6 / 7:7 roster promoting genuine work-life balance
  • Health insurance eligibility
  • Salary sacrifice options available including novating leasing, airport car parking and more
  • Exposure to a growing and expanding underground operation

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
