The posting

The Video Content Producer brings KAUST’s stories to life in post-production — shaping raw footage into polished, brand-aligned content that communicates the University’s research, people, and mission to audiences across digital and institutional channels. The role combines strong editorial judgement with technical expertise across editing, colour grading, and motion graphics.

Working from production briefs under the direction of the Multimedia and Brand Production Manager, the Video Content Producer manages video projects from creative concept through to final delivery, contributes actively to pre-production planning, and serves as the team’s primary owner of motion graphics and 2D animation. The role requires a strong editorial sensibility, precise technical craft, and the discipline to manage multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines.

The Video Content Producer is expected to engage proactively in the team’s creative planning pipeline, maintain rigorous DAM and workflow discipline, and bring genuine creative investment to every production. Occasional out-of-office hours working will be required, for which overtime will be paid.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Production

  • Review and analyse production briefs and participate in briefing sessions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to storyboards, editorial structures, mood boards, and creative references.
  • Identify and retrieve suitable archival footage and licensed media assets.
  • Coordinate with production teams regarding shoot requirements, technical specifications, and footage handover.

Editing and Post-Production

  • Edit and produce video content including documentaries, interviews, promotional videos, research communications, and social media content.
  • Apply transitions, motion graphics, visual effects, and animations.
  • Produce 2D motion graphics and animated sequences.
  • Perform professional colour correction and colour grading.
  • Mix and master audio, including music, voice-over, dialogue, and ambient sound.
  • Prepare final video projects in appropriate formats for web, social media, YouTube, LED screens, and other channels.
  • Manage multiple editing projects while maintaining quality and meeting delivery deadlines.

Project Management and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Manage assigned video projects from creative concept through final delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project requirements and timelines.
  • Provide creative guidance and constructive feedback on video requirements.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively identify delivery or resourcing risks.

Asset Management and Workflow

  • Upload and organize production assets within defined timelines.
  • Apply proper metadata, tags, and naming conventions.
  • Maintain organized project files, footage, and finished assets within servers and DAM systems.
  • Track production activities, tasks, edit notes, comments, and deliverables using Asana or equivalent project management tools.
  • Maintain editing workstations and software and report technical or licensing issues when required.

Creative Contribution

  • Participate in creative planning sessions and contribute editorial and motion graphics ideas.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, techniques, and tools in video editing and post-production.
  • Actively contribute to the editorial quality and visual impact of final productions

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
