About Atria

The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice with a focus on prevention and longevity. We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families.

We additionally engage in and support groundbreaking research in longevity science through the nonprofit Atria Research and Global Health Institute, which bridges the gap between scientific discovery and clinical application, using longitudinal data to accelerate medical understanding and improve health outcomes.

Our mission is to make healthspan and lifespan equal for all by translating science into medicine in real-time, all while bringing humanity back into health care.

About this role

Atria is looking for an exceptional VP of Communication to communicate Atria’s unique position in the health care landscape as an integrated ecosystem that bridges precision prevention, personalized interventions, and academic research.

Reporting to the Chief Content Officer and working in close partnership with our Chief Executive Officer, this individual will become one of Atria's most important storytellers — someone who understands our story, mission, and vision deeply enough to compellingly represent us in any room, to any audience. You will execute Atria’s strategic media strategy, identifying and securing the right opportunities for Atria and our physicians through your meaningful relationships with legacy and emerging media. A demonstrated record securing high-impact coverage is a must.

Communications at Atria spans media relations (earned and otherwise), brand management, thought leadership, and crisis communications. This role requires someone who can thrive in our startup environment, where we move quickly and collaboratively.

This is a strategic leadership role for someone who will treat our brand with exceptional care, who understands the nuances of our story, and who appreciates our unique position in the preventive health care landscape. You will represent us thoughtfully and authentically, working closely with our Chief Content Officer to ensure seamless coordination between our editorial brand voice and where and how Atria shows up in the world. This position is suited to someone who approaches media relations as relationship building rather than message broadcasting.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans that position Atria as the leading voice in preventive health care and longevity science. You will identify the media outlets, industry publications, podcasts, newsletters, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership platforms that will best serve our mission to democratize access to high-quality health information.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and other influential voices in health care innovation, preventive medicine, business, and longevity science. You will become the trusted source for media professionals seeking expert physician commentary on emerging health care trends and scientific developments.
  • Secure high-quality placements for Atria and our physicians and leadership with an emphasis on consistent messaging and impact vs. volume.
  • Collaborate closely with our CCO, VP Content, and Director of Content Operations to align external communications with our editorial calendar and content initiatives.
  • Manage brand reputation and serve as the primary coordinator for our leadership team. You will prepare executives for media interviews, speaking engagements, and industry panels, ensuring consistent and compelling representation of our mission and values.
  • Lead crisis communications planning and execution, protecting our brand integrity while maintaining transparency and authenticity in all communications.

Who we're looking for

  • You intuitively get what makes Atria unique and why what we’re building is special.
  • You genuinely connect with our mission and can speak about preventive health care and longevity science with passion and precision. You understand that effective communications in health care requires balancing accessibility with accuracy, and you have the judgment to navigate complex scientific topics for diverse audiences.
  • You have exceptional storytelling abilities and can distill complex health care concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with journalists, industry leaders, and the public. You maintain scientific integrity while inspiring action and engagement.
  • You are a strategic thinker who approaches media relations as relationship building rather than message broadcasting. You excel at identifying the right opportunities for our brand, finding the perfect placements rather than settling for mediocre coverage.
  • You are a natural brand steward who will protect and enhance our reputation with the same care and attention we have always applied. You understand that in health care, trust is everything, and every communication reflects on our credibility and mission.
  • You build strong relationships across the organization and coordinate seamlessly with diverse teams.

Salary range: $250,000 - $275,000

  • Proven track record developing communications strategies that support business objectives while maintaining our authentic brand voice.
  • Experience managing communications for organizations undergoing significant growth or transformation preferred.
  • Strong writing and storytelling abilities, with experience creating materials for diverse audiences including media professionals, industry experts, and general public. Comfort with both traditional and digital media platforms.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
