Responsibilities

Website Design & UX

  • Design responsive website layouts, wireframes, and mockups using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Create engaging user experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Design landing pages, homepages, and marketing-focused web experiences.
  • Ensure websites balance usability, accessibility, and conversion optimization.

Website Development

  • Build and customize websites using WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, or similar CMS platforms.
  • Customize themes and layouts using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
  • Manage plugins, integrations, and website updates.
  • Support website launches, redesigns, and ongoing maintenance.

Performance & SEO

  • Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, accessibility, and SEO.
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices, including meta tags, headings, alt text, and image optimization.
  • Improve Core Web Vitals and overall site performance.
  • Conduct website audits using Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix, or PageSpeed Insights.

Testing & Maintenance

  • Test websites across browsers and devices.
  • Troubleshoot formatting issues, plugin conflicts, and responsiveness problems.
  • Maintain secure, stable, and up-to-date websites.
  • Organize website assets and design systems for long-term scalability.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, content, and leadership teams on website updates and campaigns.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback while maintaining design quality.
  • Coordinate with developers on advanced functionality when needed.
  • Communicate project timelines, revisions, and deliverables.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of professional website design experience.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing responsive websites and landing pages.
  • Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Experience building websites with WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Shopify or WooCommerce.
  • Basic JavaScript or front-end development knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and SEO tools.
  • Experience supporting SaaS, agencies, marketing firms, or e-commerce brands.
  • Understanding of conversion-focused web design.

What Success Looks Like

  • High-quality websites delivered on time.

  • Improved website performance and SEO.
  • Minimal bugs and revision cycles.
  • Positive stakeholder feedback on design and execution.

Interview Process

  • Initial Recruiter Screening

What Happens After You Apply

Right after you apply, you’ll receive an email invitation from Spark Hire to record your Intro Video. This short, self-recorded video is the final step that completes your application.

Instead of repeating yourself through multiple screening calls, you’ll introduce yourself once, and your video will be shared with the hiring team. This helps hiring managers evaluate your communication style early, making future interviews more meaningful while reducing unnecessary interview rounds.

You can record your video as many times as you’d like before submitting. Only your final submission will be reviewed. Please keep an eye on both your inbox and spam folder for your Spark Hire invitation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
