The weekend youth placement home is responsible for providing a safe space for youth over the weekend they are scheduled. The provider is responsible for meeting the child’s daily needs, providing supervision and emotional support, and ensuring the child’s safety and well-being throughout the placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive home environment.
- Meet the child’s basic needs, including meals, personal hygiene, and supervision.
- Provide emotional support, encouragement, and age-appropriate activities.
- Follow the child’s care plan and agency guidelines.
- Communicate with care team regarding the child’s needs, behavior, and any concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the child’s privacy.
- Ensure the child’s safety and return the child according to the agreed-upon placement schedule.
Requirements
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing home environment. Commitment to supporting the child’s safety, stability, and well-being.
- Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to support children with varying needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with agency staff.
- Willingness to follow home requirements and agency policies.
- All people living in the home over 18 must pass a background check
- Staff must have reliable vehicle, vehicle insurance, and a valid drivers license.
