In return, we’ll give you the trust to take risks, the tools to grow, the skills to develop and the support of a company invested in you for the long haul. So, if you want to inspire a brighter work day for everyone, including yourself, you’ve found a match in Workday, and we hope to be a match for you too.

About the Team

The Agent Factory team is where Workday's next chapter gets built. We form small, senior, cross-functional AI teams that bring together product leaders, AI engineers, and full-stack builders to create intelligent agents used by millions of people every day. This is production-grade AI — deeply embedded into Workday's platform — not research experiments or maintenance work.

Our teams own problems end to end, collaborate closely across disciplines, and use the right tools to solve real customer challenges at global scale. You will work at the intersection of AI, platform architecture, and human workflows, with the autonomy to shape how agents reason, act, and scale responsibly. We operate with high trust, high expectations, and a focus on real impact. Engineering, but brighter.

About the Role

As a Senior Director of Product Management within Agent Factory, you will own the delivery of AI-powered HCM agents at Workday. You will either be building customer-facing agents or building the infrastructure and frameworks that Workday's application teams use to deploy AI capabilities to customers. You will also be responsible for the Principal Agent and the integration of agents with third party agent platforms.

You will work at high velocity to experiment, innovate, develop, iterate, and scale AI agents, collaborating closely with domain-specific Product Managers to maximize the impact of our technology. This role requires a unique combination of speed, inspiration, and a deep curiosity about emerging AI techniques. You will play a key role in shaping our approach to AI agents, ensuring we deliver solutions that drive real business value.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and driving the roadmap for Agent Factory HCM Agents, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market demands
  • Developing structured frameworks to assess and rank the importance of different AI platform features, guiding investment and development focus
  • Communicating your vision and approach to inspire and motivate internal teams and external audiences
  • Leading a team of product managers to translate strategy into action, grounded in a test-and-learn approach
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting your team to grow and develop their expertise in product management best practices
  • Defining KPIs and success metrics to measure the impact, efficiency, and adoption of AI agents, continuously optimizing for customer satisfaction and business value
  • Developing and iterating on pricing and monetization models for AI capabilities
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and customer needs to inform product differentiation
  • Partnering with engineering, UX, data science, and marketing teams to ensure successful development and go-to-market delivery
  • Acting as the voice of the customer — conducting research, interviews, and usability studies to ensure our platform solves real business challenges
  • Presenting roadmap updates, insights, and performance reviews to executive leadership and key partners
  • Managing Early Adopter programs across multiple AI initiatives to ensure customer value, referenceability, and risk mitigation
  • Identifying the highest-impact, highest-ROI opportunities for AI at Workday, and building or enabling other teams to build these capabilities

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Product Management, AI product, enterprise software, data science, or related experience, with a demonstrated ability to define and deliver product vision and strategy at scale.
  • 7+ years of experience building, leading, and developing high-performing product management or AI product teams.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Other Qualifications

  • A flexible and effective influencing style, with the ability to build alignment across senior leadership and cross-functional teams without relying on direct authority — you bring people along by articulating a clear, compelling direction and adapting your approach to different audiences
  • Ability to establish and deliver on ambitious timelines, bringing a sense of urgency and focus to complex AI initiatives while maintaining quality and customer impact
  • A self-directed approach with an orientation toward follow-through — you identify opportunities, take initiative, and see ideas through to completion with energy and a positive attitude
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously learn new techniques and technologies, particularly in AI, machine learning, and agentic systems
  • A strong customer focus in all decisions — our success depends on the ability to deeply understand and empathize with the people who use our products every day
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a high attention to detail and the ability to clearly convey complex AI concepts to a range of audiences — from engineering teams to executive leadership
  • Analytical and quantitative skills, with a comfort for defining metrics, interpreting data, and making evidence-based decisions that optimize business outcomes
  • Experience building user experiences within enterprise software platforms, ideally with exposure to HCM or adjacent domains

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
