The role
WWT’s Management Consulting team helps clients solve complex business problems where strategy and technology meet.
As a Senior Consultant, you will lead consulting engagements from initial problem definition through to final recommendations and delivery. You will be the day-to-day lead for the client, set the direction for the work and bring together consultants and technical specialists from across WWT to achieve the right outcome.
You will also help grow our Management Consulting practice in Australia by building relationships across WWT, shaping new opportunities, contributing to proposals and RFP responses, and working closely with colleagues in the United States and India.
This role is suited to an experienced consultant who is ready for greater ownership and wants to help build a growing practice.
What you’ll do
Lead client engagements
- Lead projects from scoping and mobilisation through analysis, recommendations and final delivery.
- Turn ambiguous client problems into clear approaches, workplans and deliverables.
- Manage project priorities, timelines, risks, stakeholders and quality.
- Keep the team focused on the overall client outcome, not just individual tasks.
Bring the right team together
- Lead multidisciplinary teams that may include consultants, data scientists, architects, engineers and security specialists.
- Coordinate contributors from across WWT, including people outside your direct reporting line.
- Translate between business leaders and technical specialists.
- Ensure recommendations are commercially relevant, technically credible and practical to implement.
Own the client relationship
- Act as the client’s trusted day-to-day lead.
- Build relationships with stakeholders at working, leadership and executive levels.
- Facilitate workshops, navigate difficult conversations and communicate progress clearly.
- Turn complex analysis into a clear point of view and recommendations senior leaders can act on.
- Produce high-quality, executive-ready deliverables.
Help grow the practice
- Build trusted relationships with WWT sales, account and technical teams.
- Help identify, qualify and shape new consulting opportunities.
- Contribute to proposals, statements of work and RFP responses.
- Help turn successful delivery into broader client relationships.
- Strengthen collaboration with Management Consulting colleagues in the United States and India.
- Contribute to team development, reusable methods, recruitment and other practice priorities.
What you’ll bring
- Around five years of experience in management consulting, technology consulting or a related advisory role. We care more about the depth of your experience than an exact number.
- Experience leading a consulting project or substantial workstream, including managing contributors, stakeholders and final deliverables.
- Strong core consulting skills, including problem structuring, analysis, stakeholder management and executive communication.
- A track record of building trusted client relationships.
- Experience contributing to proposals, RFP responses or new client opportunities.
- Exposure to technology-led business problems. Experience in AI, data or analytics would be particularly valuable, although adjacent technology experience is also welcome.

Where this takes you
This role is a stepping stone toward Engagement Manager.
As a Senior Consultant, you will build the experience needed to independently lead engagements, manage multidisciplinary teams, earn the confidence of senior clients and contribute to new opportunities. Engagement Managers build on these foundations by leading larger engagements, developing others and taking greater responsibility for client relationships and pipeline.

- Travel is expected to be up to 25%, including domestic and international travel.
- You will have meaningful autonomy, with senior colleagues available for guidance and support.
- Priorities may evolve as the Australian practice grows, so you should be comfortable working in an environment where not every responsibility is defined in advance.
