Make an Impact as a Manager, Pharmacovigilance at Worldwide

In this leadership role, you'll help ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacovigilance services that support the safe development of investigational therapies across global clinical trials. Your expertise will guide teams, drive operational excellence, and help maintain compliance with international regulatory requirements and reporting standards.

You'll lead and develop pharmacovigilance professionals while overseeing project delivery, quality, timelines, and scope. Working across multiple studies and therapeutic areas, you'll serve as a trusted resource for your team, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.

This is an opportunity to influence both people and processes, contribute to department-wide initiatives, and play a key role in advancing patient safety through effective pharmacovigilance oversight.

Where You'll Work

This is a REMOTE role open to candidates based in US. You will collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee pharmacovigilance projects and team operations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and internal processes.
  • Manage project delivery against agreed timelines, quality expectations, and budgeted scope of work.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, providing ongoing guidance and support to promote high performance.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve study, operational, or staff-related issues to support successful project outcomes.
  • Maintain expertise in global safety regulations, reporting requirements, and pharmacovigilance best practices.
  • Support project planning activities, including scope management, proposal reviews, budget discussions, and bid defense participation as needed.
  • Organize and deliver training initiatives while contributing to staff recruitment, onboarding, and professional development efforts.
  • Represent Pharmacovigilance during sponsor audits and contribute to departmental or company-wide initiatives as required.
  • Provide leadership support and serve as a backup to senior pharmacovigilance leadership when needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, nursing, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of global pharmacovigilance experience supporting pre-approval clinical trials across multiple phases and therapeutic areas.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including at least 2 years in a mentorship or people leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial safety processes, pharmacovigilance regulations, regulatory reporting requirements, SOPs, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of medical and scientific terminology, adverse event assessment, and safety database technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within matrixed global teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging sponsors, clients, and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English, with excellent communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
